After watching the documentary today it wasn’t a rehearsal it was a one time filming thing. The particular scene in the OP they had to keep running that part back cause of hissing noise, they later found out it was all of the necklaces and bracelets Lauper was wearing, it was 4 in the morning and they’d already been there for like 8 hours.
