Basically ESPN gets new weekday package and MLB.TV, Netflix gets the Derby and Comcast and/or Apple gets SNB and WCS

NBC looking to do Sunday Night Baseball --> Sunday Night Football --> Sunday Night Basketball consecutively year-round?

Smart move, Netflix wants events. I think Netflix will push more into boxing events. Its all about getting eyeballs on the screen.

MLB needs to consolidate where they broadcast. They need to get off of cable and back on broadcast.
MLB is already on broadcast. They're not leaving FOX and they may go to NBC/Peacock, but cable is still the major bulk of where teams get their money. The issue there is some RSN's are way more valuable than others.

There would be overlap with the NFL early season, and my guess is they would thrown sunday night baseball on peacock
That seems stupid to me though, why would you want to leave broadcast networks when you have sports.

Happy no more apple tv, and don't know what to think about MLB TV. I enjoy the service but hate the blackouts. If ESPN and Disney take care of the blackouts, I'll continue to buy
Apple TV had the best image quality out of all the baseball broadcasts. Tired of these low bitrate ass baseball broadcasts on cable.

Can Mannfred be fired so Theo can takeover as commish already?
I don’t see it. The success of the rule changes plus flipping this broadcast rights agreement into a positive could get him an extension alone.

Then you add in the expansion / realignment too.

The one that could really lock him for a minute is helping figure out the labor talks without a full work stoppage. On the other hand, it could fukk him over if it doesn’t go well too.

I could be talking out my ass but I think it makes sense.
