I'd like to see:

A limit on the nunber of foul balls. For example if you're 3-2 in the count, you shouldn't be able to hit five more balls into foul territory and shyt. Cut it to one foul max at 3-2. Then alternate between calling the foul a ball or strike to keep the shyt moving...

If the game is even after nine innings just call the shyt a tie.

Limit the amount of mound visits even further.. You're in the fukking majors, da fukk you need a pep talk for?

How do you limit foul balls? If it’s not meant to be hit in play what do you want the hitter to do? Some hitters are good enough to purposely foul pitches off but it’s to set up a pitch more in their wheelhouse.

The other 2 just make no sense whatsoever.

Ain't nobody got time for that though. A good hitter can put any pitch in the strike zone into play. Put the ball in play or sit that ass down?

How does reduced mound visits and ties not make sense? They've already limited mound visits this season...I simply want to see it reduced further. Taking up to 3 minutes to "talk things over" - nah I'm good. And ties would just eliminate tacking on to an already long game, not to mention reduce player fatigue, opportunity for injury, etc.

So leave. If you’re gonna watch a baseball game, expect baseball related shyt to happen. If you have more pressing matters, don’t let a baseball game stop you. Don’t watch or attend a game and then think they’re keeping you from doing something.

The mound visits are short as fukk and they’re timed. It’s not producing the results Manfred wants though, and the truth is that they’re a generation away from making those adjustments. Every game is micromanaged now. With data on top of data at teams’ disposals that’s not changing.

It’s baseball. It’s not a sport meant to fit perfectly in a box.

Not to sound like the bitter old man yelling at clouds, but the younger fanbase is filled with flighty people whose tastes change by the hour. If I said, the only way you can get that bad bytch to notice you is to change your eye color, the shape of your ears, plump your lips up (nh), and get a nose job, you’re not gonna do it because you don’t look like you anymore, and it doesn’t even guarantee that the bad bytch will like you.

If anything the product has taken a hit because they’ve done enough pandering. The players only attempt to go for more home runs because they know fans love that shyt. If you go 1-4 with 3 K’s but a monster HR, you’re Aaron Judge and he runs NY right now

Baseball and the walk/strikeout/HR & basketball and the 3 pointer/dunk is like hip-hop and trap beats
Facts :wow:

That's called a choke. :francis:

Basketball has never been more popular...

Only people who complain about the NBA today are those that think midrange jumpers with the foot on the line was entertaining basketball...

The NBA definitely has a 3 point attempts problem. Y'all keep thinking this is exciting basketball cause the nerds said its a valuable shot all you want

Yeah I am wondering this same thing and also how it related to basketball. does winning stop being exciting if you do it in a boring ass way. I liked baseball more when it was a barrage of hits and then maybe a homerun somewhere in the rally. now its like walk, strikeout or homerun, hardly anything else happens, the shifting of the defense is precise as hell which also takes away from the offense. the averages are all in the toilet on some dead ball era shyt. and im pro sabermetric in a sense like yes what theyre saying techincally helps you win more but now seeing what baseball is becoming im somewhat like yeah nerds ruined the game

Not sure if it was mentioned but wasn't it shown a pitch clock really wouldn’t make that big of a difference in total time of the game and put pitchers in position for injury?

A's fan here.

They may play in a dump but they're fun to watch this year.

Team hit a home run for the 27th straight game Tuesday, a MLB record.

And this comeback :banderas:

id have to see on the time, i cant see how it wouldnt make it shorter, back in the 50s games used to take like 2 hours, they got the ball and threw it, i do think for like 90 pecent of these primadonna pitchers they prob would get hurt but its also kind of funny to me all these precautions and pitchers still get hurt constantly. im not saying im in favor of just wearing a guys arm out but all these arbitrary pitch counts like i doubt it makes such a difference between lets say 100 and 120 pitches and its prob more about the individual pitcher. but this shyt is so embedded in baseball now it would take a generation at least to fix it just like it took mad long to ruin it. suddenly youre gonna teach guys not to only look for the so called true outcomes after years of preaching thats the end all be all these years ? suddenly youre gonna tell pitchers work quickly after all these years of them over analyzing every pitch to like the number 9 hitter on the worst team and making sure you throw the exact perfect pitch after 3 minutes of debate with the catcher? I cant see it
