:ohhh:
That's got me thinking about the physical component behind a rapper no longer being able to perform at the same level. I can understand losing the ability to write the crazy imaginative shyt he used to write - but losing the ability to deliver vocally, the way you used to be able to? :ohhh:
It would be interesting to hear him try to re-record Hell On Earth verses...
What did you think of how he sounded on IMDKV?

IMDKV was exactly what we wan't from P but he only gives us 1 or 2 tracks like that per album now.

We wan't a full album like that without all the lazy slow rhyming bullshyt filler he gives us.

If it's true he was on coke during Hell on Earth then he needs to think about that.

Honestly he might need to pop perks and drink 5-hour energy every time he steps in the booth.

Starting the album with that song was cruel too...I went from :ohhh:to :blessed:to :mjcry:by the end of the album. Still a fantastic album though...2013's best (maybe 2nd place next to Deck/Eso or one of the Roc Marci albums).
Confessions is the type of song where the slow flow doesn't even matter :wow:

Same here...

And the worst part about his slow flow is the struggle like he's trying to hard.

It wasn't Jay-Z, Nas, Lake, Tru-Life, Littles, Saigon or Keith Murray who hurt Prodigy.

It was Prodigy who hurt Prodigy with that slow ass boring garbage flow.

Another downfall of Mobb Deep was even more energy left their music without Big Noyd.

Real talk both Noyd & Twin should be on at least 3-5 tracks every Mobb Deep album.

Mobb Deep deserved to fall off for that bullshyt, Noyd gotta be the most underrated rapper ever.

This nikka is pure unadulterated energy on the Mic to compensate for Prodigy's lazy ass.

Damn that's a long list :lolbron:

Yep. If he would have dropped a crazy diss back to Jay and if Infamy had been as good as MM - things would be perceived very differently.

Noyd used to come in and kill classic Mobb Deep tracks :wow:

If Prodigy had dropped a diss record like Drop a Gem on Jay-Z he would have never got married to Beyonce.

Jay-Z did everything right by letting Kanye take that 5 to 1 doors song to shyt on P & Nas.

Alchemist has two of the best rap albums of the decade under his belt so far, Rare Chandeliers and My !st Chemistry Set. That was made possible because he decided to collab with rappers that were more than capable of carrying their own weight, that at all wont be the case here, so why he chooses to waste time with Mobb Deep in 2015 is beyond me. If he was more selective, this dude would have the best discography in the genre

Right? yeah man, for whatever reason, he made a choice to start rhyming that way. I don''t really understand it either. I can't think of another rapper that has so blatantly changed the entire way they rap. Doesn't sound like the same person at all, not even the voice really.

I'm convinced he thinks it sounds smooth....

I like RC. I admitted a couple of weeks ago that I slept on it. I heard Terry so I went back and checked RC.

Honestly the only beats on there I don't really like are Eggs on the Third Floor (2nd beat is cool) and Demolition Man. I think the 3 bonus joints fukked me up, because I didn't really dig those, and it threw off my perception. Between that and some the rapping/skits between songs. I think that's some of what it was.

But if the project ends at Mike Vick, those are the only 2 beats I don't love. My favorites are definitely bytch I Deserve You, Blood of the Goat, Randy Musical, Sylvester Lundgren, Gateway to Wizardry, and Mike Vick. Rare Chandeliers was one of the beats I didn't really like that grew on me a lot.

Didn't even know there were bonus cuts for Rare Chandeliers....i'll keep it that way lol

Lol. In case curiosity gets the best of you...

Well he needs to explain to the fans why he threw away ten years of his career doing this bullshyt.

I use to make excuses for him like "it's his sickle cell and drug problems making him sound lazy"

I dunno. I know his sickle cell was bad during Infamy. So maybe he really did just never recover, and then just couldn't get the energy back, so he kept in the direction he was going?

there's songs on the infamous and hell on earth where prodigy used the lazy flow. he just had way better vocals and rhythm then.
