Im starting to think whats the GOAT posthumous release thats pieced together (so no M7DT or LAD) and getting my hopes up for this... Features look proper

Im starting to think whats the GOAT posthumous release thats pieced together (so no M7DT or LAD) and getting my hopes up for this... Features look fuxxing STELLAR

My favorite posthumous release that was pieced together (and not just a body of work previously made before death and released after death) is One of the Best Yet by Gang Starr. It's so crazy because none of the songs were made while Guru was alive. Most posthumous albums are full songs that mostly just need to have features added and be sequenced together.

The Gang Starr one was just random Guru verses that Preem needed to assemble beats for and make songs out of. For that reason, I was expecting it to be trash and Preem knocked it out the park.

The music nerd in me really would love to know the detailed process of how that and this new Mobb Deep album were made. When were certain verses made? What projects were they for? What stuff had to be changed, etc.

It's a different album than The Infamous. Last I checked it'd been taken off streaming.

I KNEW Nas was going to be on multiple songs.


A song with Prodigy, Nas, KOOL G RAP, and H.E.R. is going to be WILD.

Push about to finally out-rap Malice on a song in 2025. He’s a huge Mobb Deep fan and won’t let this moment go by without spitting his heart and soul out.


I’m a little surprised Prodigy’s daughter isn’t featured on here somewhere. Havoc said she was in the studio for some of the sessions.

This being the final Mobb Deep album i’m glad that Big Noyd nabbed a feature.

One Of The Best Yet is the GOAT true posthumous album for me. Premier made that project sound like Guru really was in the studio with him writing to those beats.

I’m pretty sure they finished the album shortly before Phife passed. Phife was even the one who came up with the album title.
