Ehhhh idk if he had that energy in him tbh. Why go from a top 5-10 MC at your peak to spoken word unless you had to.

Martin Scorsese probably thinks he has another goodfellas in him but history says otherwise.

Jordan on the wizards would probably never admit his playing still was different than it was in 98

I learned to enjoy what P became but the 1995-HNIC P is my favorite rapper all time
But I saw them perform live multiple times in the 2010s together, and P solo live, and P did lots of songs from infamous, hell on earth, HNIC, and murda muzik, and P hit every word and didn’t miss a line.

So how was it that P was able to rap like that just fine live under the hardest conditions, but somehow couldn’t do it in a studio when punch-ins and lots of other techniques are available?

I never understood that. Doesn’t make sense to me.

Big L in two weeks

De La Soul in November

Nas & Premier in December (Allegedly)
Not gonna lie, I have absolutely no expectations for the Big L joint...what else can they do? :francis:

De La might honor Dave like Hav and AL honored P so that might be dope.

Nas and Primo....well :hubie:

The Big L album, as I understand it, is a collection of unreleased songs and verses that have been floating around the internet that they’ve gathered together and properly mixed and mastered. Consider it a “Lost Tapes” type of release. They also announced there will be a few “surprises” so i’m guessing we’ll get some guest verses from Nas and a few other rappers. Cam and Mase are not expected to be on it however.

The De La Soul album they’ve been working on for a few years, before Dave passed away so i’d expect it to be more like the last Tribe album than like Infinite. The last news that they updated was that they’d locked back in with Prince Paul.

Nas & Premier is done according to Nas’s Rolling Stone interview. He revealed he actually thought they’d put it out this past summer but I guess decided to hold it as the culmination of the Legend Has It series.
