hey, I love Mobb Deep and this album, but this is disrespect to EPMD and Gang Starr
this is the first time I've ever heard anyone think that calling Mobb the best duo is disrespect to anyone.

They've been in the GOAT discussion for decades. That's not disrespectful to anyone. There's a case for everyone you named. Outkast as well. Once you get up in that top 5 or 6 of all time GOAT category it mostly just comes down to personal preference at that point. :manny:

Mobb has arguably the greatest rap album of all time, and arguably the single greatest rap song of all time, and they made 3 classics in a row, and they were relevant in multiple decades of the game. GOAT level shyt right there.

I don't disagree with any of this, but at the same time, EPMD and GS has 4 classics in a row and had a strong run for over a decade as well. They predate Mobb Deep and was hot during their era as well.

I love love love EPMD and GS. EPMD in my top 5, and guru in my top 20. but why are we including a rapper/producer as a duo? Might as well put BDP, Eric b/Rakim, kool g rap and dj polo in duo group convos.

duo or group should only be saved for 2 rappers or more.

That's fair as well. I don't think of Gang Starr as a duo the same way I think of Mobb Deep as a duo. Having 2 rappers changes the dynamic.

I'm in nitpicking mode. This album is fire and is gonna hold me down all winter.

One thing I wanna nitpick on is.. Havoc should have went WAY harder on M. O. B. B.

His verse was weak and didn't flow well at all imo. That P verse was the best on the album imo and noyd came correct

I'll add to that, Eric B. & Rakim, OutKast, Black Star, Little Brother, Clipse, Method Man & Redman, Group Home, Showbiz & A.G., Black Sheep... I'll put Kid N Play in this list as well, because of their popularity at the time.

But Mobb Deep probably released the hardest one in recent times. Clipse and Little Brother, come close.

The only argument against Mobb Deep for greatest rap duo is Outkast.

And yes its time we acknowledge that as stone cold FACT
