Thought the album was ok. Down For You part 1 & 2 were probably my favourites. It's a shame that Kool G Rap's verse was taken off part 2. Wonder what the reason was. More looking forward to Big L & De La's albums. Along with Slick's they were the 3 I wanted to hear the most.
G Rap was never on the album. O misread the credits and the internet ran with what I posted. That was my bad.

Let's just say Pitch Fork is smoking dust, this is way better than 6.6. Almost every joint is grimy, P's verses fit perfectly and never sound cut and paste. A lot of his verses are using a faster flow, not just his slow flow. There are some crazy Alchemist beats on here, and they have drums. My Era and Gunfire are early favorites for me. Ghost and Rae both had great verses. Off first listen, this is the best album of the Mass Appeal Legends, so far.
If you or anyone has it, could you pass the mustard? I'm surprisingly not seeing it in my usual spots this morning

I bought the orange vinyl BTW

and Pitchfork giving a traditional rap album a 6 means that it's an 8 for most heads lol
The Pitchfork review was weird. They said that the album "mostly sounds a retread of the pair's glory days" as if it could sound like anything else? One half of the group is fukking gone lol.

What the fukk else is it supposed to sound like? Stupid review. It actually read as if the writer liked the album, but their scores are always low.

Just stfu til its officially out . I hate leaks ,i used to get them but they ruin it
You’re in a discussion thread about the album where someone literally asked “how’s the album sounding?”
If you hate leaks/early opinions, why not avoid the thread until the album officially drops

However you feel about Pitchfork they almost never give good reviews to “comfort food” albums i.e. established acts feeding their fans exactly what they want.
As good “comfort food” is the best case scenario for a Mobb album in 2025 I find the actual words of the review to be heartening and If anything increase my anticipation.
