this beat is absurd lol

Record is insane. ALC really took it back.
Listening to this it got me thinking about a lot of their first records. They were on Black Moon's debut and I think in the liner note shout outs they were acting like they were tight. But after this they completely disassociate. They never dissed each other but never even worked together again. It was strange, I spent the 90s waiting for another collaboration. lol

Man, I'm a nerd for even replying to this, but there's a lot of them still being done. It's all about the artist and what they want from him. Mobb or Benny? They're always gonna snag the hardest drums and toughest beats. If it's Roc, Larry, or Earl? They're gonna favor more of the light and vibey loops with lighter drums. If it's Gibbs, Boldy, Conway...there's gonna be more drums, but usually a mix of both.

Alfredo 2 barely had any beats with no drums and it's 14 songs. The Badu project when I heard it live was mostly all drum beats. I'm assuming the Armand Hammer project on Nov. 7 will have a lot more lighter drums and drumless on it.

Alc also works a lot, obviously. And there's a lot of stuff to comb through. Of course the best feel for Mobb was gonna be the harder drums.
How is that Badu album?

I don’t think the Erykah album drops in 2025 tbh….Alchemist still has two more albums to drop this year (that we know of) with Armand Hammer and Hit Boy - I would think they would want to give the Abi and Alan project room to breath, especially as it’s her first album in 15 years. Grammy submission deadline has also lapsed now which is something that I would’ve thought they would’ve wanted to be in conversation for (ALC has already submitted LIB and A2 for consideration).

And with Mos - yep, no chance…..

Happy to pleasantly surprised though.
Someone tweeted Al that it was “impossible to drop all these projects before 2026” and Al replied and said “impossible only takes one week”

I still think we get them all before 2026. There’s still almost 90 days left this year and it seems important to him that all these drop this year

Im not gonna lie I dont think we needed that Clipse verse, they just put them on because they're the hottest thing going this year (i dont even think that album was that dope). But big up Pusha still for hailing up P as one of the GOAT either way.

I think adding a Hav solo or a Santana fox track would have made the story of the album way more dope.
They did the song with Clipse BEFORE Clipse even announced the album was coming out (according to Havoc) so it wasn’t something they did to capitalize off the Clipse brand resurgence. The only move I feel they made to piggyback off someone’s popularity is having H.E.R. On Down For You Part 2, which turned out to be unnecessary.

Hav solo I feel would’ve been unnecessary as well, its a Mobb Deep album, most likely the final one. It started with Hav and P together and now it ends with Hav and P together.

They should've had a eulogy track with Hav, Noyd, and Infamous Mobb honoring P.
