Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were conducting suicide and homicide investigations in northwest Charlotte after a woman jumped to her death and her two children also died Saturday.

Police said Christina Elizabeth Treadway, 34, injured 3-year-old Iliyah Miller and 7-year-old Isaiah Miller in a home on the 2100 block of Sebastiani Drive.

Then Treadway jumped from a bridge on Interstate 485, police said. She was found near the Old Gum Branch Road bridge and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

After finding Treadway, police gathered information that led them to the home on Sebastiani Drive, where officers found the two children with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Both children were taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, police said.

There was no one else inside the home when officers arrived, police said. WBTV reported that police had never been called to the home before.

Citing police, WSOC reported that the children’s father has been located and he isn’t a person of interest in the case.

Treadway worked as a game-day employee for the Panthers, team spokesman Steven Drummond confirmed Sunday.

Facebook and Instagram pages that appear to belong to Treadway are filled with photos of the children. Posts on the accounts discuss Isaiah’s achievements in school and show photos of both children on Christmas morning, when Iliyah unwrapped a large stuffed unicorn.

Two GoFundMe pages have been set up in connection with this case. One appears to be raising money for funeral and travel expenses for Treadway’s parents, who live in northern California, according to the page. The other page asks for money for the children’s funeral and appears to have been posted by the children’s father.

This is an ongoing, active investigation, police said. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a Homicide Unit Detective or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.

A North Carolina woman killed her two children before taking her own life by jumping from a highway bridge on Saturday.

The woman, physically assaulted her son, 7, and daughter, 3 and inflicted life threatening injuries upon them. She then jumped off a bridge on Interstate 485.

The children were still alive when they were found, albeit with life threatening injuries. They were pronounced dead at Carolinas Medical Center.

Part of Interstate 485 was shut down following the woman's suicide.

I really feel that women should be given a mental evaluation before having kids :gucci:

This is so common

I agree

Problem is people are unhappy in life and unfortunately their kids are who they take it out on. A lot of people smile and put on this false sense of happiness and leave these inspirational quotes on their social media and pics of them seemingly loving life but in reality its all bullshyt

They are masking and they are ashamed of the fact that they are nothing but miserable

They go home and cry themself to sleep while eating a mixing bowls full of Apple Jacks.Because they feel they have nothing else but their fukking Apple Jacks. And then we are left with the situation above.
