No one will care about him ever again is quite a reach, he could easily get into something different after this and still be relevant, it's happened a million times it won't be the end of the world for him or Lashley, whoever wins.

So far as this Kofi thing... two scenarios happen here:

MVP's words ring true and Kofi decides he needs to get back in the hunt for the WWE title... say he wins MITB next month...

If Drew regains the title from Lashley, Kofi ends up cashing in on Drew, turning heel in the process and becomes MVP's new guy.

Or

If Lashley retains, Kofi wins MITB and challenges Lashley for the title at SummerSlam, proving to MVP that he is the man again.

WWE’s Latest Trademark Filing Seemingly Confirms New Ring Name For Piper Niven

It had been reported earlier this week that one of the new names pitched for Piper Niven, who recently debuted on RAW, was ‘Doudrop’. Wrestling Inc reports that on June 16, WWE filed to trademark the name, which seemingly confirms that one of the characters will use it, if not Niven herself.
The trademark is for: “IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment
