Smart move posting that tracklist on Wu Corp then

i think his heart was in the right place, but from a legal standpoint this shyt is a burden. you have close to 30 artists involved, you cant 'hide' a project like this from anyone, they would have known about it very quickly. RZA is going to want a dip in the backend of this, but Cilva has already said he thinks this is 'bigger' than Soul Temple records could handle. it should test their friendship a bit

KP says Cilvarings is a liar

he most def did say that, and when this comes out everyone should weight what they think about each side cuz Cilva does bullshyt

he didnt have a lengthy talk with anyone lately, yet the Clan is recording 2 different versions of ABT? thats the kind of shyt that has gotten him isolated before

well keep in mind thats its not just money here, this has so many Clan features it could be confusing to some fans as to whats the next Clan album this or the true one being recorded. they have alot of international fans which leads to language barriers which leads to confusion

i think if they can get past how its marketed, it can get a greenlight. but thats not easy, Cilvaringz Presents holds no weight on a marketing level, its not a Clan album so what is it? thats the key

^ to go along with that, what I posted on that board that Cilva co-signed:

it's money...you call shyt a "wu-tang clan album" and people are going to be wanting a hell of a lot more backend than than the pay per verse Cilva probably organized everything recorded with....also if all these recorded verses are understood for a "Wu-Tang Clan" project then you still have to give RZA his cut as, if he doesn't get a piece, any producer could approach Wu members directly individually and call shyt a "Wu-Tang Clan album" once assembled together. So RZA has to protect his brand and the rest of the clan have to protect their backend so their pay for spit verses don't go toward a Wu album they feel their cut out of after the fact. Cilva probably communicated this all to the best of his ability in the various stages of this process, but you've all seen how the business played out publicly the last few years to realize certain people are going topop up wanting cuts when something is being sold as a "Wu-Tang Clan album."

Let Cilva run through this process, get everything in order to present the best product possible to RZA, Divine & whoever else he needs the stamp of approval from, and, if the W is denied for whatever reason, he could just flip it to a "Cilvaringz presents..." project. I'm thinking, however, that the labor spent on this, besides the love, is to try to get that co-sign as that W & name attached officially will help tremendously in the selling/recouping on this project.

I'm Hard Like D-Block Readin The Book Of Enoch...
why the Wu would even bother with major labels at this point is :mindblown: ,if there's any crew in hip hop that has a more diehard fan base&name brand and could possibly sell a million records or more independent its the Wu

cats is just greedy, most of the A Team cats are eating well, just name the album Wu Tang International and give the proceeds to the B Teamers and call it a legacy

pipe dreams i know:manny:

I've been waiting for this album for quite a while. Hopefully it ends out coming out and doesn't end up getting shelved.

I think he recently said he had a lenghty talk with RZA on the phone, but he didn't want to say what they spoke about.

So that was you :ohhh:

Yes I do check out that board frequently, but I don't want to be a member, it's the most sour place in the depths of the internet.

I mean to keep it 100% the Wu-Tang Clan and anything to do with them RIGHTFULLY should have to go through RZA. He's the architect of this shyt, he deserves whatever backend he demands. I'd love for a Project like this to see the light of day, especially given the 20 year anniversary, but from what I've read if this actually is good enough to serve as an official Wu-Tang Clan album then it needs to go through the Abbot, plain and simple. Who the fukk is clivaringz to say that a CLAN album is "too big" to go through the CLAN's leader?
