Have not lived with my mom since I was 16.

Truthfully I don't see anything wrong with families living under one roof, sounds like a great way to save money.

I personally couldn't do it because I need my space.

Like how old are some of you brehs. My step brother his momma was crazy as fukk so he moved out at 18 and went to join the military.

But how the fukk you move out at 16? Did you complete college ever or eventually enlist? I mean not even my pops was trying to do something like that back in the 80's.

I think my pops moved out around 18 or 19. One of his younger brother's (deceased) moved out at 17 but that nikka had such a gift of gab he was able to charm the shyt out of White people to pay him bank. Unfortunately he died in an accident otherwise I'm pretty sure he would have been a millionaire by now. When you talk about dudes that have the gift of gab and look that shyt up in the webster's dictionary his face shows up. :lolbron:

1br. Still going to school full time, still working full time.

About to find a part time job for the one day I have off.

Ppl can say lot of things about me, but they can't call me lazy.

Being lazy is a slave religion based protestant practice that was employed by the us government to make its people slaves.

Don't believe this American fantasy island bullshyt.

Nobody is lazy,.......

Black folks used to do this until integration. Now parents want to kick their kids out at 18 and if college doesn't click the first go around the kid is fukked. Because he/she gotta work 2 jobs just to keep a roof over their head :francis: so how will they ever get to go back for their education (specifically in areas that are in high demand) working 50-60 hours a week? :troll:

Funny the group at the bottom looks down on this practice :sas2:

This is only new to black people. all other races been on group economics but us. When I was living in the best area in Chicago I was like the only person living over there with no roommates. And when I was looking for a new apartment. you would see 2 to 3 to 4 grown white men living in a 1 bedroom or studio. smh at black people thinking its cool to kick their kids out at 18 though.

One of the best posts in this thread!!!

I remember I asked you for advice awhile back and you told me to exercise/lose weight/do no fap because my adrenal glands are probably out of wack from fapping so much. you didn't give me any career advice though.

If you were in my position where would you go from here:

I don't want to be a burden on my mother and want to move out when it is possible.

I'm 30 years old and live with my mother. She financially takes care of me. I am unemployed/broke and only have 30 dollars in my savings account. I spend all money I ever get from my mom on junk food because I am addicted to junk food.

I have a two year degree in Business Management I got this past December. I also have 60,000 in student loan debt because I went to a 4 year university and fukked around/didn't apply myself.

I am unemployed and have been applying/looking for jobs since I graduated this December.

Also. am timid, have bad social anxiety, low confidence.

EDIT: I live in Americus, Georgia as well. Small city with very little job opportunities.

Georgia there are gonna be challenges. You may have to think about moving. There are a couple of GA brehs in my overall field (Marketing/Advertising) or related who have mentioned they struggle with racism even in the ATL and a lot of Middle Managers are White holding them back.

60k in Student loans is manageable, especially down South but you are gonna have to hustle hard.

How good are you at doing methodical tasks that require attention to detail? If you aren't good at it now, it is possible through the correct nutrition and physical transformation that you can re-program your brain to operate the way you need it to.

As I mentioned during my 6 month unemployment stint I made sure I got myself in peak physical shape. I noticed when I went on interviews even if I didn't sleep well the night before I performed very well in general. I'll be honest I'm not as jacked as I used to be (back then I was 10% BF easily or under - Now I'm 15%-17%) and feel far more sluggish but some of that is just age. I've been supplementing with CoQ10 lately which has helped a shyt ton with that. The job search has been rocky lately in trying to upgrade my gig currently so I've been slacking in terms of fitness. shyt WILL get harder when you are employed and then trying to make a move. But best believe when you are unemployed you should be dedicating at least 50% of your time towards:

- Low Carb/Sugar, High Protein
- Weight Training and resistance if you're slim like I was, Cardio if you are massively overweight (like 30-40+ pounds)
- MAGNESIUM L-THEORANATE OR ZMA (helps Testosterone)
- Barlean's Omega 3 Fish Oil
- Calcium Fructoborate or Boron to get your Testosterone levels up

Since you are broke you are gonna wanna get the low tier supplements which are more affordable but still absorbed fairly well:

- One a Day Men's Multi
- NOW brand ZMA or Magtein (Magnesium L-theoronate)
- Life extension brand Boron (w/ Riboflavin)
- Barleans is the cheapest fish oil that has the quality you need and provides 90 days servings worth

Can be gotten all from Amazon...Start with this get a home workout regimen going with the goal of hitting this then come back:

- 100 push-ups daily
- 100 sit-ups or crunches daily
- 100 pull-ups daily (if you have a pull up bar)
- 50 bicep curl reps (PER ARM) for 20lb weight

Get Barlean's Flaxseed oil or some Alka Seltzer Aspirin if you get the DOMS (muscle pain) the next day. But don't take both because they interact with each other, just one or the other. (Don't take Aspirin on days you take fish oil, alternate because they interact too).

Focus on the upper body because that's what people first notice for a Man. Build your triceps/biceps/delts/lats and your gut will eventually disappear. There are advanced tactics but you are not ready yet and don't have the budget for it yet.

Oh and two things that help gut fat burning specifically are:

- Pu'erh tea (Prince of Peace brand) - EXCELLENT FAT BURNER FOR THE MID-SECTION
- Kelp (Oregon Wild Harvest brand is good) 1 capsule daily for maintenance, 3 capsule daily for intensive use - Beware, you will get gas with 3 pills a day so don't take this dose on days you need to interact socially - BUT THE shyt WORKS....(NO PUN)

In the meanwhile - Do you think you are inclined or capable to CODE? The reason I say this is it is the most realistic option to get out of your situation right now and pay your bills immediately. Following the above will help your mind function optimally to the point of where you can actually focus and learn what you need to learn to get ahead in life quickly. The federal loans have a deference period but it doesn't last forever so time is of the essence.

Unless your parents are ill, you gotta be in your own place by 30 and if not, you better be more than half way to becoming a millionaire because otherwise you clearly ain't "stacking" as much as you want us to believe while you leech off your folks

They could be divorced with an ex whose garnishing their income
through state sponsored child ransom payments and other associated payments

Or recently fired with no job prospects

Or just contracted cancer

Or just been released from prison

Or looking after their sick parents who can't afford

Not every situation is cut and dry breh

Thanks man, appreciate it.

1. Regarding coding, do you have to be good at math? If so what math do I need to be good at? Algebra and Calculus?

2. Is coding interesting/fun or is it boring/tedious?

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Alot of this has to be cultural, because a lot of parents that have their kids stay with them in the first place don't really want their children to move away or atleast very far. That's the thing, these immigrant parents actually PREFER and want them to stay as long as they can.

These non-American cultures don't practice abandonment over "individualism".

Your parents probably don't want you in the house in the first place, that's why you're all angry making arguments justifying something inconsequential.

These dudes are silly always jumping to the "ain't shyt" conclusion.

You don't know nothing.
It has nothing to do with culture. Those that want their kids to stay home is for a reason. I made it a point to say that in every post. If you are doing SOMETHING for yourself or your family, then it's perfectly fine. Your parents would want you there

Stay home and save money son.

Stay home and get your education son.

Stay home and focus on your next moves.

Stay home and contribute to the family son.

Dude sitting at home with no job, mom paying all her bills, mom paying all his bills, mom giving him money, money he wastes on junk food, with zero plans for the future or to help her with that burden

Ain't no parent alive wishing that for their kids.

Hey I worked my ass off to get this house, raised you from young, now you're a man, now please stay here and don't do anything with your life so I can continue to take care of you until I retire and can't afford to support you anymore and you don't have anything to support me either

you seem happy where you are... i'd advise your mom to stop giving you money... if that didn't help you get motivated to get on your feet, then she should kick your ass out... homelessness will inspire a lot of people to start working

you're in the best position in life... from YOUR situation, it's a fukking dream... you get to not do shyt everyday and still live as if you're actually doing something... so saying anything to you, would be pointless.. because getting a job, having to work, all to pay bills and not have help... isn't really a situation you'd rather be in... so you won't try as hard

it'll be your mother who either gets sick of you and shows you the door... or leaves you everything for you to squander one day

only thing i would say is talk to her... ask her how she REALLY feels about you being there.. and hopefully her answer will make you want to do better for her

I'm not happy where I'm at that is where you are wrong. Sometimes I get very depressed at where my life is.

You're right. I'm in a whole but in terms of career advice you haven't given any suggestions, just seems like you are just taking shots at me. You are in a better situation than me, props to you for that.
