actually I really don't fukk with lupe at all. only album I ever felt was his last one. but his rhyming skills can't be denied. musically, I think his albums are on some bizarre nerdy shyt....takes away from his messages. but his pen game is still one of the best of all time. and when I say it's understandable doesn't mean it's not "try hard".....yea we treat the world like shyt(fukk her and nut on her).....mother earth is "tossin and turnin"....oh I get it....cause the earth turns....how genius. it's a cool verse, but nothing to go crazy over. and definitely nowhere near mos def's best shyt. that's minor league stuff compared to mos at his best.

From a pure technical standpoint Mos Def is a masterful rapper, even if he doesn't have the metaphors Andre has.

I voted for 3 stacks but I can't be mad at people who chose Mos. To me it's just that Andre is more of a can't-be-replaced guy than Mos. Mos is the best at that poetic, deep lyrical backpack rapper with a street appeal lane but that lane could arguably be filled with other dudes like Lupe, Black Thought, Monch, or sometimes even Nas or Mega whereas with Andre, he really carved his own niche and just approaches shyt differently. Call it avant-garde, eccentric, left field or whatever but to me I don't see any rapper doing what Andre does.

I can see people's perspective. Even though most got maybe one two classics. He's actually completed solo concentrated body of work, and to them it just looks like André has been sparring greatly features guest verses but haven't fought yet

But even if you place their collaborative projects side by side blackstar vs outkast albums

And mos doesn't have to carry talib
