Athletes test scores from 2008-2014 indicated that
60% of Athletes were reading between a 4th - 8th grade reading level
8% were reading below a 4th grade reading level.

Its probably common knowledge for some but its crazy when you stop and look at it. Some of these guys will NOT go pro and some will go pro and have short professional careers.

It pains me sometimes to listen to the post game interviews of some of these guys. Its a system created to basically farm athletes and from a young age. Kids are being intentionally moved along (not just athletes) and I believe this is being done to ensure the success and the futures of "non athletes"...wink wink. :usure:

this statistics aren't believable to me.

EDIT: she said football players and basketballs in the video. I guess they made the title athletes to be more PC

so this means a lot of them wouldnt be at these big schools without being elite at sports. hopefully while there they take advantage of the free education while on scholly
If your public school failed at giving you a good foundation there is no way you can magically keep up at the college level, let alone an elite college level.

That's like not learning basic math but then being expected to do well at calculus.

And at the end of the day; it's the parents fault

If you are willing to mortgage your child's education for a chance at a millionaire bball career, then, you have to expect this

Don't blame this on the big bad boogie man corporations

These parents are willingly involved in this and the schools are profiting

I blame the parents, but, the NCAA is foul, too
