I can see why they were so grateful for Eazy...without him, they'd be homeless singing over a burning barrel on some New Jack City shyt

Barbershop quartet ass nikkas....go join a gospel choir or something :scust:

It really says a lot when Eazy had one of the best verses in Bone history on For The Love Of Money:francis:

Yeah I know breh...I'm not saying the album is bad or wack or anything of that nature, in fact the songs I do fukk with I listen to a lot...I'm just saying to me it's overrated.

It could be my east coast bias, I don't know :yeshrug:

It's Dark And Hell Is Hot.

There's few times that someone was a phenom like DMX in early '98. I remember it, I totally understand it, and I was glad to see it. He shook shyt up like no other. That being said, he shook shyt up and had a good album to go with it, but not a great album. There's a good half of that album that I rarely revisit, and I might even say I like the 2nd album better.

I can't believe at some of the responses on here

All Eyez On Me, Illmatic, Blueprint, The Chronic, E. 1999 Eternal, 36 Chambers, Its Dark and Hell is Hot?

Really though? :martin:

Y'all motherfukkers have no taste in music whatsoever if y'all think these albums are overrated. All these albums made an impact in Hip Hop :smugdraper:

I agree in that I don't think IDAHIH is a perfect album or as good as many of the classics from the late 80s to mid 90s...but it's far and away better than the 2nd album to me :yeshrug:

No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
I can name one:
220px-Mobbdeeptheinfamous1995.jpg
Az doe or die
Biggie ready to die
Rae only built 4 cuban linx
Gza liquid swords
Jay z reasonable doubt
Dmx its dark hell is hot
Cnn the war report
Lost boyz legal drug money
Dr dre the chronic
Snoop doggystyle
Ice cube death certificate
Outkast atliens
Mobb deep the infamous
Wutang 36 chambers
Gangstarr miment of truth
Big pun capital punishment
De la soul is dead

Id put every single one of those albums on par with illmatic. If they aint better they equal in terms lf enjoyment. And everyone dropped in the same time period.

Especially if i only took the ten best songs off them. Its be a blow out in that case.

I'll bet they don't...all it took was dope beats and sing-song hooks for platinum albums and grammys :hhh:

"this albums is SOOOO over rated...besides its great hooks and great beats what else does it have?"

The blueprint (easily)
College dropout (i find all kanye albums better than this)
All eyez on me
Good kid mad city
The documentary

And illmatic IS overrated. I can name 20 albums from that period that are easily just as good but for some reason illmatic is considered the bible of hip hop. Still a 5 micer tho

20, please do :sas1:
