Drivers actually earn thiers.

Maintainers (mechanics) and everyone else basically do 1-2 hours of work and get paid for the other 7.

The key is to do the bare minium and if possible BELOW that :laff:...... sorry nyc residents and tax payers :mjlol:

Damn and here I thought the Metro brehs here in DC were making grips. Some of the ones I went to school with are pulling in $110k+ with that OT.

Them cacs be hating on Metro workers like crazy.

CLINTON HILL, Brooklyn (WABC) -- The MTA bus driver accused of spitting on a female passenger in Brooklyn Saturday says it was the passenger who kicked and spit on him first.

"Looking back, I wish I would have just stayed on the bus," MTA bus driver Olusedun Alale told Eyewitness News in an exclusive interview. "But at that point, I don't know what happened."

Alale, 51, said he admits he made a mistake spitting on Sapphire Philip, a mother of two.

The married father from Nigeria, however, said the cellphone video only tells part of the story, saying he too was assaulted.

"I want to apologize to my daughter," he said. "I want to apologize to all my friends. I want to apologize to my friends because that's not the person I am."

On Saturday afternoon, Alale was driving the B25 when Philip got on with her two kids and a new stroller.

Phillip said she didn't know how to collapse it, and in one photo, she appeared to be sitting in the back blocking the rear exit.

Alale said he first made the announcement on the PA that all baby strollers had to be folded for other customers' safety. He said she didn't move.

Alale then called transit headquarters, and while on the line, he said she began assaulting him.

"She punched me multiple times in the head," he said. "She spat on my face and at that moment, I could not take it no more. I was confused, perplexed, shocked."

Philip got off the bus and that's when the driver went after her.

Police responded to the incident, but both declined to press charges. The driver said at that point Philip told the officers what she had done.

"I just regret getting in his face," she said. "I did get in his face. I regret doing that."

Alale insists it was much more than that.

There are no cameras on his bus, but Alale points out while he was talking with headquarters, it was an open line that should have recorded everything.

The MTA is currently investigating the incident.

I don't even know if he's wrong for that.

Innocent people don't get spit in their face. Nobody in the history of the world has ever been sitting down, minding their own business and was randomly spit in their face.

I'm not saying his action is justified. But she definitely did something. Spitting in someone's face is a reaction.

Just hope he ain't got that coronavirus.

If you're on the job, and get into an altercation with a customer or client..guess what, after the dust settles dude you clashed with quietly goes back to his existing job the following day and files a lawsuit whilst you get marched out into the street by HR and security.
Only a dummy fights at his own job :mjlol:

Depends on what your job is.

My boy worked Loss Prevention for like 12 years. Dude was just naturally aggressive. He'd push people, grab and drag people into the office (men and women). He threw a brick through a driver's window as they were driving away.
This was 2006 to 2018 in the supposed era of "you cant chase people" "you can't touch people!"

It's expensive to sue companies. And most people don't have the money.

They treat them like cops so if you hit one of them you could face up to 7 years in prison.

He absolutely should.

But the three things they will absolutely fire you over is

1)Physically assaulting another MTA worker
2) Stealing time
3) Stealing MTA property

Everything else will get you 30 or more of no pay but you'll keep your job.

And talking on the phone while driving the bus, happened both to my brother-in-law and my homey.

Was the bus pulled over to the curb & kneeling or was it in motion is the question that MTA IG's will have to ask during the investigation

Look homeboy was outright wrong for leaving the bus you can't do that while in service unless it's to work the W/C ramp or the pendant is acting up.

Both cases it was in motion, but my homey was on probation as a new hire..so it just so happened there was an undercover MTA investigator on the bus who caught him yapping on the phone while driving. Asked him to pull over and the rest was history.

I'm not sure of the details with my brother-in-law.

according to the public record website (that all us city workers are on).... his name shows up starting on 2017... he's fairly new... 2-3 years in depending on his start date.. going by salary .. maybe May or June of 2017
