eh, the "machine" gets you pop fans... its not an exact formula.

Dude had a project and people gravitated towards certain songs

Trinidad doesnt have any previous music that shows a change towards pop appeal.

Slaughterhouse on the other hand.... :mjpls:

As far as the term MC... youre arguing semantics at this point

we know they mean "rapper"... and no, Trinidad isnt a great rapper by any

stretch of the imagination, but he has a pretty big "buzz"

EDIT is trinidad even on the list?

and Rakim said "MC means move the crowd..." hes got that mastered :manny:

:whoa:

trust me...I see your point breh. I'm looking at MC more about being at the top of the rap game as far as the art of rapping. not just who has the most "buzz" but I don't work for MTV so my opinion doesn't matter.

and I don't think Trinidad is on the list...i just used him as an example.

I'm a Nas fan but theres no way in hell he is going to be on the list.

Drake @ 5 under Wayne,Ross, and 2chainz is laughable.

He had the biggest tour in 2012. He was on every high profiled hip hop album of 2012. He helped his peers move units by jumping on their tracks (2chainz, meek millz, ASAP, Kendrick,French, Waka)

Gotta ask though, when you think of Wayne the past 12 months whats the biggest impact he's made?

That's not rhetorical or sarcastic, Im asking genuinely asking what is the biggest thing he did the last 12 months? Take it to the Head, No worries?

Its been a quiet year by his standards.

Eastside of that Motor
My guess is
Kendrick
Ross
Wayne
2 Chainz
Wiz

It really is "hottest" so it's no use even trying to argue their logic. But I hope they don't put Jay on, they gotta stop the legendary awards they keep giving him

I never really pay attention but Drake not number 1 or 2 just made it void for me. nikkas don't even have time to say 'started from the bottom' cause they still saying 'yolo'

And that nikka had most of these nikkas on HIS tour :shaq2:

shyt really makes no sense when you think about it...there's no consistency in the logic IMO...like what did Big Sean do last year to deserve a spot on the list, let alone #6 ? Compared to people like Nas who had a critically acclaimed album that sold 350K plus albums... T.I. who sold 400K plus albums and on his way to gold...even Tyga who sold 350K plus albums and two multiplatinum singles....like one mixtape, a couple verses on Cruel Summer and a flopped single in Gawp supercedes actual tangiable success? I don't really get what "hot" is supposed to mean anymore
