Good for him for standing up for his values, idk why its viewed as a negative.

The hypocrisy in this thread is hilarious. Dudes are in here always cracking jokes about how talent are chilling in catering collecting a check, but turn around and give talent shyt for standing up for themselves and wanting better than that and what they're being given.

Mustafa Ali’s previous program in WWE saw him involved in a feud/mentorship with Mansoor on Monday Night RAW. Mansoor did not have any say in the relationship whatsoever. After that, he developed a controversial character which was ultimately nixed by the company after a while.

Ali requested his release from WWE, which came as no surprise for many fans. Last year, Ali and Kofi Kingston were engaged in a feud and they might have had a great match at WrestleMania as well. While speaking with Metro, Kofi Kingston revealed that there were plans for him to face Ali at WrestleMania 37 last year. However, the plans were ultimately nixed and Kofi Kingston teamed up with Xavier Woods faced AJ Styles and Omos.
.
It was perfect! It was written, you didn’t even have to go out of your way to creatively write anything else, it was perfect! But alas, that’s not the direction that the office, I guess, wanted to go in. I was told a few things, and we start working towards those things we’re told, and then all of a sudden it’s not those things. That’s really kind of standard fare for us.”

Ali was booked like Kofi was, in that match.

He was gonna survive multiple people for an extended period. Obviously we don’t know what was booked long term, but assuming fans would have rallied around him after that performance isn’t too far fetched considering how it turned out for Kofi.

That’s not even the cold part though. Y’all know Ali was penciled in to win Money in the Bank, right? He was told he was the winner, but right before he went out he was told Lesnar - who wasn’t even involved in the match - would be returning and winning instead. The Kofi shyt is just bad luck, but the lesnar shyt? Yea I understand why he wants out of this bum ass company

Kofi kingston was out for 11yrs and always loved by fans... and the start and stop with Randy Orton happened... everyone easily remembered how he got screwed and got behind him...it was legit his time.. Ali was some new random flippy dude that dressed like lite brite Seth rollins... even if they got behind him in that match nobody would've given a shyt by the next raw/smackdown

I’m not arguing against that, all I’m saying is he was booked to outlast several men in a long gauntlet match, and was penciled in to get a big Elimination chamber run, which all went to Kofi. That much is on record

To say fans would have rallied behind him the same way they rallied behind Kofi may be a stretch, but assuming nobody would have given a fukk is also a stretch

We simply don’t know because it never played out. That run could have made him for all we know… it also could have not made a difference.. either way, we DONT KNOW. Homie never got his shot because of a Randy Orton boot to the face

And his next shot which was a money in the bank victory was nixed in favor of Brock Lesnar bullshyt.

Behind You
Vince is really going to be petty enough to keep a guy around just to fukk with him.
They will probably come up with some demeaning shyt for Ali for a couple months (like how they kept putting Lana through tables every week) and then hit him with those 'deavours by summer.

:francis:This is the prime example of wrestlers needing to see the other side of the coin, instead of thinking "WWE is the place to be". With the pandemic going crazy, promoters falling back, and wrestling being niche'd as all hell....why would you want to be a wrestler again:dwillhuh:.

Be a stunt man, be a MMA fighter, a boxer, a actor, anything. A wrestler in 2022:gucci:

I'm tired of giving so many damns for dumb ass wrestlers.
