the Clay Bennett history isn't even the issue to me. If that's gonna be the issue then whether they get Giannis or not, everyone not named SGA, JDub or Chet will have to go anyway.

Them spending money is inevitable.

In both those teams, the only rookie to have much of an impact was Braun for Denver. The rest of those teams had really established cores and as we've seen so far, how you wanna win matters. Even if you roll only 6-7 deep, you want depth in case shyt happens.

OKC has more than enough to offer, which kinda sucks because they won't have the contracts to turn whatever else into vets. Even now, look at their roster. It gets thin quicke than we know. Whenever you see 6-7 players surround Shai, those are the only ones worth a damn. Take half of them, combine them with 5 picks, serve it up to Milwaukee for Giannis. Now your starting lineup is the Devean George Lakers, but with nothing but rookies behind it.

hypothetically

Chet
Giannis
Kuzma
Caruso
SGA

bench

Kenrich Williams
Wallace
Topic
Dieng
JWill
Mitchell
Dillon Jones
whatever vet minimums they can add who aren't related to Giannis

Does this win a title?
Maybe…. I think you got to have a solid 3 not a big 3 to win a chip. The real question is who would you rather be your second option Giannis or JDub? Like I think the way the modern NBA is being situated team gonna at most have about 7-8 reliable playoff players unless they hit on their rookies. After that is gonna be scrubs and vet mins,

They wouldn’t have to give up dort and Wiggins /bring in kuzma

Chet
Giannis
Wiggins
Dort
SGA

Caruso
JWill
Joe

That’s a championship roster
Especially if they can flip the last two for a more solid role player

That is the way of the league even before the 2nd apron. Like Lebron use to get the guys he won chips with paid…. but then the team would always fall apart like a season later.

Now with the apron it’s even spookier. If a team doesn’t have the right first and second option they are fukked. shyt the wrong third option could fukk them too. If the nuggets had a better third option than Porter this series would already be over.
Gordon is actually their third option now, but I agree with what you’re saying other than that.

I’m surprised the players union agreed to that ish, but it’s going to be harder for them to build those stacked teams. I’m thinking like the Heat when LeBron first went there and later the Steph-KD-Klay version of the Warriors.

What it is, the braids?

He was better when he had that Rick James shyt going on. I was calling him super freak for a minute.
Hahah.

He’s purely a North/south player. Open lane or open shot? Yeah he can score. He’s got size and strength. But the moment he has to improvise it all falls apart.

Chet and Caruso are MUCH better than anybody else on the Devean George Lakers. That team is clearly in the mix to win it all. They won't win 68 during the regular season but they will be better equipped for a seven game series.
