I really don't want to overreact but I'm going to overreact. I feel like we're on Giannis to OKC watch after that game. Nuggets had a 41.5% offensive rebound rate, outrebounded the Thunder 63-43 and won despite having 17 turnovers & MPJ having just 2 points all while coming off a Game 7.

Daigneault fukked that up terribly between that unnecessary ass strategy & the challenge when SGA is telling him not to.

Didn't help that the Thunder couldn't get a call after the first few minutes of the 4th. Denver had 4 fouls with 8 minutes left & didn't get called for another foul (except the Jokic flagrant) until there was 14 seconds left. Meanwhile they called 8 fouls against OKC during that time.

Not sure if you heard the post game but OKC coach Daganult mentioned it that this was their strategy the whole year and they aren't going away from it. He actually mentioned the game didn't come down to that. He's 100 percent right. They have a strategy and stuck to it this is where having veterans is important to be aware of the situation and maybe not foul right away. It's on the players to execute the strategy better.

Game 2 will tell a lot. OKC is due for a better shooting game... but so is Denver. So is MPJ. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a high scoring close game.

Looking back at the overall game for OKC I'm side eying both Jalen Williams and Chet.

If OKC loses this round, they have to make a move for more vets off the bench and maybe even another star. Giannis is certainly a possibility i just don't know how him and Shai fit together.
