But they were descendants of slaves, right? Which means they had ancestors who at some point were slaves. Stop trying to blame the Caribbeans, those freed slaves who went to Liberia were mostly AA, that is why the capital of Liberia is Monorovia named after James Monroe and they went there and instituted the same racial supremacist culture that existed in the US. The fact that they brought with them that European concept of racial superiority actually supports your own belief that AA are not African, they saw themselves culturally as more white or European (i.e more civilized) and saw the native Africans as backward savages.

The average AA besides skin color has nothing in common culturally with the average African. Like i have said before AA have more in common with a White guy from Montana than a Black man from any African country.

Lol I am not blaming Carribbeans...

But calling people never been slaves, had businesses, own property, sometimes even 7/8 white and left the West right after the Revolutionary War and before Jim Crow and Civil War our descendents is some silly shyt...

Lol our descendents stayed in the USA lol they ain't leave

And that caste system was no different than anything in West Africa...

Have AADOS apologized for what they did to Liberians after freed slaves migrated over there in the 1800s and started oppressing the native groups?
Sounds like a situation that we AADoS don't have to apologize at all for, just the AADoS in Liberia.
that said at the time those blacks that went back remembered what africans or had stories told of what the africans did to their ancestors that got them shipped to the US and put in chains. they probably had a real hate for the native africans for that very reason.

If all Africans can be blamed for the slave trade then I don't see why all AAs can't be blamed for what those people did in Liberia when they got there. Two can play the blame game, friend.

What about the African Americans who owned and sold slaves. U do know most of those who sold slaves fell to their own trap? They were also captured and made drunk and kidnapped and thrown on the boat. A descendent of slaves did a dna test and found out his paternal ancestor sold slaves to Europeans also. Do they get a pass? Or will they catch a hard time like Africans.
Do you turn the venom on your own family if dna shows your family participated in or outside of America?

I know this logic will be ignored, because most of you who hate Africans don't care, you just need a target to hate becuase you are hell bent on conflct. If Africans all disappeared you woudl turn and consume your own. Self destructive.

You don't get it

I keep arguing that's the flaw with even considering yourself a descendant of slavery-- the shyt consumes your entire identity. I'm cool with being black, a displaced african in america, etc but I will NEVER be a 'DOS' :hhh: I fukking hate that term. That shyt is on par with "******" to me. That is NOT all our ancestors were and I honor them too much to reduce their lives and purpose to white people's purposing.

Y'all remember the "Your name is Toby" scene in Roots right??? Fast forward to the future and DOS is arguing "My ancestors name wasn't Kunta Kinte, it was Toby. MY NAME is Toby"

YOU DESCEND FROM AMERICAN SLAVERY THOUGH. THAT IS WHAT THEY WERE THEY WERE SLAVES.

YOUR PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HERE FOR CENTURIES.

AFRICAN IMMIGRANTS HAVE NOT.

THIS IS NOT REALLY DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND IMO.

It's like AADOS gang have this concept that their ancestors arent african with that term. No matter how much you mask it or run away from it, you are still a descendant of Africans. Like Malcolm X, who was later quoted by Michelle Obama, said, "The blood of Africa still runs through your veins."

No matter how long you live in this country, you're still African. Only AADOS gang want to erase their origins. All-american whites who have been here forever will still tell you where their great great great great grandparents are from. "Lithuania...Ireland...Portugal....England"....Only AADOS gang want to start from here. You are a descendant of Africa. Claiming AADOS like slaves unfortunately showed up out of thin air in cages of west and central africa with no ties to or history in Africa prior to that moment. Saying fukk Africa is saying fukk your African ancestors who had the misfortune of being captured and sold. Youre denying and dismissing generations of your African ancestors who existed prior to their progeny being captured and sold and choosing to start your history at slavery.

Folks go to a West or East African restaurant in america, have a bad experience, and all of a sudden its "fukk africa, they all hate us". Do you know how petty, jealous and gossipy most black nationalities are towards their own people? Dudes aint been to Africa a day in their life and want to launch a crusade and new identity against an entire continent of people cause they got some bad customer service at a nigerian sandwich shop. Dudes are clown status.

Exactly I pointed it out before in another thread, how white people celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Oktoberfest, etc and we think it's just a reason for them to get drunk or some shyt. Maybe some but A LOT of these people are embracing their heritage. Never been to Ireland or Germany either and yet it's still wildly important to them to the point of influencing American culture. There's a reason the shyts are popular but I wonder why? :jbhmm:

How we are so African if we never been and was discarded lol

How we so African when we sold even before such a thing as an African existed...they still went by tribes

The idea of us being African is a socio-political fantasy...

We never been to Africa

When we had the chance to go and repatriate, majority of us said fukk that stayed here...

We aren't African in any meaningful way besides what we look like...and it's just a convenient way to lump us together with those on the continent

Imma just paste something I said in another thread:

so much of them is still in us even after all these years. Like 'call and response' in singing, music and dance foundations, the way we shake hands, etc. Even "ebonics" resembles African languages grammatically speaking. What exactly is "soul" and how come we have it but other Americans like whites, Hispanics and Asians don't? Why do we place such a strong value and pride, sense of identity in it when it clearly didn't originate in America? You know? :ld:
Those are surface level, readily identifiable things we still have in us. If those things still exist us today then how far does the rabbit hole go? There's shyt we don't even realize

Oppression has been global to folks of Afro descent. From the lynchings of the South to the chopping of hands in Congo.

We're all affected by Anglo Saxon supremacy.

Yes, we all been through colonial slavery whether it was Portuguese, French, British, Spaniards or Anglo. However, how one perceive themselves makes a difference. Resilience is key.

The Afro man and woman have made significant contributes in the world that we live in. We'll continue to make progress.

Always assert a position of strength, not weakness.
