Slaves sent to the 13 Colonies/US from Nigeria mainly came from the Southeast (Igbo, Ijaw, Annang, Ibibio, Efik, Isoko) but quite a few Yoruba and Edo people were also sent. Mainly to Louisana and Florida.

African Ancestry founders said when it comes to ADOS the DNA was most common amongst the Hausa and Fulani of Nigeria and Cameroon. It seems like Southern Nigerians went more to the Caribbean and Northern Nigerians went to the USA. Hence the Islamic influence.

Basically he has some Bantu Ancestry mostly Bamalenke from Cameroon area. Thats where likely the SouthEast Africa came from too.
