Yeah Islington is cool. But he said he wants to do the tourist ting. And you would still get the real London experience. Just the central London experience. You got Oxford Street, Edgeware Road, Queensway, Notting Hill, Kensington, Tottenham Court Road, West End, Hyde Park etc all a stone's throw away.

I mean, I like that whole area cause those are my ends but you can stay in central London for cheap if you get a hotel around the areas I've mentioned.

What all is in Islington?

Its an area that's been very gentrified in the last 20 to 30 years. It has a great night life. Lots of pubs, clubs, bars, etc.

I still think the best place for @Emperor_ReinScarf to stay hotel wise is either Paddington, Bayswater or Earl's Court. That's just my advice though. Do with it what you will...

Islington used to be a rough borough but its been very gentrified. There are still quite a lot of rough council estates on that borough though. Same goes for almost every hood in London that's been gentrified.

You got a 2 million pound house down the street from a grimey ass council estate. That's what London is like these days.

All properties in London are expensive. Didn't you watch Panaroma on BBC1, last week? Due to the benefit caps, thousands are being shipped outside of London, because they can't afford to keep up with the rent. Inflation is a real problem. Buying a property here on your own is not feasible in this economy. I'm looking to go up north myself, once I'm looking to buy.
