His dad must have had a testamentary trust that activates on death. That’s where u can make those specific stipulations on payments from the trust.

I don’t know if he really took out a policy on his dad for 2 mill. Yeah aight buddy.

I worked for one of the big insurance companies for a long ass time.

Pops isn't going to guilt trip me into getting married beyond the grave :camby:

As a life insurance underwriter this story is 🧢.

No life insurance company is letting a child take out a $2 million policy on a parent....:duck:
Why not? And how much would a policy that much hypothetically cost

Too much risk of the child offing the parent for the insurance money. If the parent wanted insurance to cover their children they would take the policy out themselves.

How common is that? What dollar amount starts to raise red flags?

It depends when they got it. If going off what he saying I doubt it woulda been 200 a month for an old mf even if he could get a policy.

200 a month would be for like a healthy teenager at that face amount.

I got a million dollar term policy on myself when I was 39(3 years ago). It was $45/month at the 2nd best health rating.

A few months after that I sold our babysitter a million dollar term policy. She was 19 at the time. She was paying 20/month at the best health rating.

You can double the monthly payment for how much a 2 million dollar policy would cost at the firm I worked for.

Now if it’s a whole life policy then a teenager is going to be paying hundreds of dollars a month for a 2 million dollar policy. But not for term.

Edit: Although prices can be comparable at the all big firms, I can only speak for the company I worked for when it comes to prices.

you sound like the weirdo to me
I never understand why people feel the need to move away from their family
If you can get along and live together in peace there is no reason to live by yourself
not like he is a bum he got his own bread
sound like you jealous of their relationship

My family moved away out of state. Its weirdo behavior to be grown with your bread and living off your parents when they struggling.
