Spread Love - The Player Way
Rather just take Fultz/Ball/Smith/Jackson than trade the pick for Love. Don't see how Boston wins
the current build of your roster is very win now.
anyone you draft will be behind your apparent wealth in guards and bigs...unless there's a talented center worth going that high...(which i doubt)
it wouldnt surprise me if i seen boston trade that pick for an established player in this league....
cause ainge cant draft worth a damn and he knows it :francis:

When I clicked on this thread, it brought me right to this post.

You're sounding real scorned right now, real hurt.

Last offseason, and this offseason (hopefully) I would not recommend that Porzingis goes away from doing what he is best at and try to change his game, to please a poster who clearly doesn't understand a thing about basketball.

He spent most of last offseason building strength on his painfully thin frame, he succeeded, but it is going to take a few more years of similar efforts before you could even call him "kinda strong"

Only on the coli, would somebody want to take a 7'3 big, who runs the floor and shoots high % 3's, and defends the hoop as our best weakside shotblocker -- and try to turn him into a back to the basket big, who functions out of the post, where he'll ALWAYS be at a strength and leverage deficit.

Thanks for your input, please feel free to root for somebody else.

If we're being real, the best you could probably hope for is some combo of Smart and a shytty pick, or Crowder. But i would like to hope that's not true.
Scorned about what?
Kp had the worst qrt of his career
Im not a homer like some of yall in here
If you play like shyt, imma speak on it

Because Boston isn't in a building mode per say. They wanna compete now and while love doesn't put them over the top it will help them compete against the cavs.

Plus, love gives boston the great white hope the city loves. Love has shown the numbers he can put up as the number 1 option, he can still be a 1a or 1b with thomas.

We know Love can put up numbers as a 1 option. But who has ever won anything with Love as a 2nd option, let alone a 1st option? You yourself admit that even if they traded for Love they still wouldn't be legit championship contenders. The Nets are currently the worst team in basketball, this is projected to be a strong draft. What incentive do they have to trade that pick for someone who doesn't move the needle for them?

Say what you want about Ainge, but he values those picks a lot. He's not coming off of them unless he feels he's getting a player that can be that game-changer. And Love is not that player.

The Celtics are not the Clippers. They do not have to make short-sighted moves in the name of trying to win-now

I completely agree with you, if I'm boston I would not part ways with that brooklyn pick, unless it's for a player who can put you over the top.

But we know Ainge's history of draft picks, he is not a good drafter

Oh he's a terrible drafter. But shyt, a broken clock is still right twice a day.

I think he would give up the 2018 pick for Love, but not this years. Not with how bad Brooklyn has been

In the last 8 games Rose is averaging 21.5 points, 4.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 2.6 turnovers while shooting 50 percent from the field and 88 percent from the free-throw line.

He's been solid, sometimes I don't understand all the anti-Rose talk...but his assists indeed are low, and the thing is that he's had various rough end of games with bad shots, turnovers, etc

You're right I'm tryna dream the dream here! Honestly though, at this point the return is secondary to the fact that moving Melo would put us down there with the cellar dwellers. As much as heads complain about him, Melo's still good enough to put the tank in jeopardy.

He's playing decent ball but the late game execution has been rough and dude's gonna want a big extension that doesn't gel. Those numbers should be good enough to get some value, but contract matching is the issue. We'd probably end up taking on added salary, in which case the return needs to be worth it. The fact that his midrange has come on is definitely a plus for dude and his PnR play has always been good too. I think he needs to go to a team with a shooting guard that can defend the PG's though.

I don't understand it either, people always bring up how he's always hurt and Missing games but I think this is his healthiest season since his MVP year. He's been improving Stat wise all season. I agree with you though his assist should be higher and he needs to improve on other parts of his games. But to be honest I think this might be the first time he hasn't been a first option in his career
