im sorry it took something like this to happen for me to express my feelings about some of this but to me its not my thoughts on a message board because to me this place is more than that, it's a community. i meant no disrespect by this thread. its a sad day for this forum and my condolences go out to his family and friends as well as everyone on here who knew him. death impacts people differently but for me it makes me realize how short life is and it really puts things in perspective and makes me want to be a better person and bring more positively into my life to try and enjoy the brief time i have on here. im simply sharing my thoughts and i apologize if you found them offensive.

I shared that same vision and like you said, it was like that in the early days. In terms of lamenting what the board was compared to what it is now, you cant have it both ways. A lot of the bullshyt that goes on here needs to stop and the mods and admins need to start cleaning this place up. It's about time that y'all cast off the fear of becoming like SOHH and start instituting some quality control in this bytch. So what if y'all lose a couple of fukkboy posters in the process. They can go post their fukkery somewhere else.

I agree with this thread. Its nothing wrong with fukkery and exposures here and there but lets not make this place only for that. All of this black men, black women insults,unnecessary roast threads, bullying etc made this place unbearable if you ask me and I was seriously thinking about leaving here. Of course no place is without its a$$holes and trolls but its just been rampant lately and as what cook said "its depressing"

We all have lives and with that comes issues, whether it's money problems, relationship problems, depression etc. It helps to get that stuff off your chest when you can do it the way you want to IRL. I would like this to be the place where folks can make a thread about something thats bothering them and no worry about it turning into a roast. We all specialize in something that can help each other grow, just last week I was kicking it Higher learning and the brehs in there put on to tax stuff that will help me good next month. We just need to reset our energy again and start off more positive.

Y'all are like my family, I told my brother and explained to him this is my home away from home. I could be some where across the world and still log in here and kick it with yall. While some of y'all are some what...dikks i have no ill will towards. I would just like for this place to me positive.

To be fair, its not all bad. Arcadium, Higher Learning, and Coliseum have a low level of b.s. because you have to bring some type of insight.

The Booth and The Locker Room kind of lends itself to fukkery because it more about style than substance. Somebody made a thread in The Booth, first page was spent calling the OP a fa99ot.

Think about some of the ones we remember from Sohh. classic shyt.

This dude didn't die because of the fukkkery or wolves.. and If someone did die because of that shyt... most posters in TRL and HL would have some blood on their hands, but then come in threads like this to post hypocritical shyt.

only the hateful trolls need to be stopped. Everyone else is good. Look at the rest of the Internet.. TheColi is doing aight as far as all this is going.

Yeah, I was about to post the same. The Arcadium gets heated, but it rarely gets on a personal level like it does in TLR and The Booth.

It's been a great time of reflection for me these past couple of months and this news today brought me down a bit. @Smooth3d and I used to go back and forth all the time, but we shared the same love for technology and that's respect. Did we agree all the time? Nah, but I don't think it ever got that personal that we couldn't share a game.

I think the coli overall does a pretty good job, but I do think the whole "CAC" nonsense needs to be dealt with immediately because that can affect people in a direct and personal level. It doesn't make much sense that the term is still used freely like that on here. We have to tackle that issue like we did with the whole racist thread nonsense that was going on about a year ago and had to take action behind the scenes.

Other than that? The Coli is what it is and I don't think a drastic change across the board is necessary at this time. Let's face it, part of the reason we come here is the view the different threads we have here. The forum has a very distinct split at the top compared to the bottom of the forum and the makeup of generally young people is what makes it work. There is room for BS and Learning at the same time.

you missed the point. its not about eliminating beef or fukkery its about balancing it out with with other topics. it just seems like we've lost our balance lately. dont get me wrong, a good fukkery thread is hard to beat, but most of the time they're not good and they come across as lame and forced

agreed. i would love for @cook and @Brooklynzson to tackle the issue of racism on here. a lot of which seems lately to have been going "the other way" so to speak. this is supposed to be a place that welcomes and embraces everyone regardless of race and a very small segment of posters are trying to make this into a black st0rmfr0nt. not cool.
i don't think you guys should worry about cleaning the forum up turning this place into a "sohh" like atmosphere either. that won't happen and honestly if it's going to grow to the capacity it has the potential to...some of the nonsense needs to go. those who truly have the Coli's best interest at heart will understand when you guys feel the need to make slight rule changes for the sites betterment. just my thoughts...
