i thought up some shyt like this but for catalytic converter theft and was just too lazy to build it. use ceramic fiber insulation with rubber grommets surrounding it to insulate between the body and the exhaust. tap into the anti-theft system with ac inverters and caps that get charged off the alternator and hook the hot up to the cat. anyone who touches the body and exhaust at the same time sets off the alarm while getting their insides cooked.

Since most cars nowdays are push to start, a key fob slot to hold the keys while you're driving.

I only remember seeing it in Nissans over the past few years.

Aston Martin and Mercedes have them too.

You can alternatively just keep the keys in your pocket and use the keyless entry functions. Probably most other manufacturers have this too on newer cars of the last 10 years.

Cool function but the problem is car thieves can use signal boosters and other technology to open your car and/or drive it away if you’re within a reasonable distance.

Maybe a programmable fingerprint and voice recognition key system?
