This is what I came to post. Hood Billionaire fukking knocked
I think people were just a bit tired of Ross and the Rich Forever-GFID-Mastermind sequence was his commercial peak but a bit of a rollercoaster as far as what fans wanted from him.

I need revisit it in full since I use a couple records at the gym but Hood Billionaire falls onto the "chasing Rich Forever" side of the tracks.

Also, Vol 3 was definitely a step down in almost every way.

He was definitely trying to appeal to the demographic that was responsible for DMX's sucess.

It was also when he really started to dumb down his lyrics to double his dollars.
It was a step down in song concepts and production. Lyrically, no. Vol. 2 is when Jay started dumbing down.
J. Cole - 4 Your Eyez Only
This was a decent album but Cole was leaving his narrative pocket. The concept kind of faltered because there were records where I couldn't tell if he was his man's or himself.

the Aether
The Dynasty.

I bumped that damn near like I did the Score or the Infamous.

I'm no JZ fan per se but I haven't ever jammed any of JZs other albums as much.

Facts!

Cats was turned off by that album for a lot of reasons

once again, it wasn't Black On Both Sides which a lot of yasiin fans still want yasiin to make another Black On Both Sides and it came after The New Danger which was too experimental for some fans.

then when it came out, it had no cover art, just a compact disc in a clear case

but yasiin had some gems on True Magic

"There is a Way"
"Lifetime"
"Sun Moon and Stars"
"Dollar Day"
"Katrina Clap"
"Fake Bonaza"
"Undeniable"
"Napoleon Dynamite"
