Ghetto Music- The Blueprint of HipHop
I was gonna bring this up too. There are JOINTS on that album. Compared to Only Built it's definitely a fall off though, so I understand why it gets hateRae - Immobilarity...it's not THAT bad
One of the biggest KRS music fans, and he was copping pleas, after the fact.I like how KRS addressed the reception to Ghetto Music on his next album ("Original Lyrics") and said it was a test to see who the real BDP fans were. I only know three songs off Ghetto Music, but the "You Must Learn" remix is one of KRS' best songs.

"Didnt you think I knew? Number 3 wasn't for the dance crew"
Yeah, right.
See I disagree, album is very lyrical. What songs do you feel he was dumbing down lyrics? Also, Vol 3 was definitely a step down in almost every way.
He was definitely trying to appeal to the demographic that was responsible for DMX's sucess.
It was also when he really started to dumb down his lyrics to double his dollars.
Following two outright classics, it didn't hit as hard right away. Other acts were putting out albums that banged harder. When Ghetto Music came out, what did people dislike about it? There weren't enough bangers? They thought KRS was starting to get too preachy? Or were people just getting tired of BDP because they weren't fresh anymore?

With some better hooks & features, PoaM could've been a classic. Production was cool and AZ was spittin hard.Another album Coli seems to hate on is AZ PoaM. shyt wasn’t no classic but was very good.
