Outkast- Ms. Jackson
I never really liked this song even though I like Kast and like the Stankonia album as a whole. The lyrics and the content were on point. There is just something about the vibe of this song that was just off for me.
50 Cent- In Da Club
I thought the beat was dope, but it doesn't even rank among Dre's best or even Quik's best drums. I get why people love it, but it was never something I felt compelled to listen to on my own.
Jay Z- Hard Knock Life
I pretty much enjoyed every Jay single up to that point except "Sunshine". It was just slow and the Annie sample didn't help. It being played to death didn't help.
Jermaine Dupri- Welcome To Atlanta Remix
Original is CLASSIC. This remix never made sense. When Petey did "Raise Up" (All Cities Remix), it made sense because even though it was an unofficial Carolina anthem at that point, he wasn't calling it "Carolina" or "Welcome to Carolina". Jermaine, while I respect him, made a remix with artists from different areas, BUT Atlanta. Atlanta had several artists that would've made sense, but nope. We got Diddy, Snoop Dogg, and Murphy Lee. Imagine Nas making "NY State of Mind" remix featuring Outkast, Dr. Dre, and Twista or Pac remaking "California Love" featuring Method Man and Scarface.
