no one's changing the topic. :dwillhuh:

Not you, bro. I do think fabs career is great where it's at and I wasn't dissing him at all. I just didn't find it controversial to say or hope for him having better commercial success when it comes to albums and it not all be regarded to mixtapes where his main strength shows in the verses.

Think it would be a lil different if he was able to consistently write good hooks that weren't dependent on a singer or somebody on the hook for it to pop

Crooked I and Ras Kass are two of the biggest to me. Both had crazy cosigns in the industry and lots of hype behind them but could never find that one hit to cross them over. Especially Ras. With Crooked we couldn't even get an album out of him for the longest.

Hell add Royce to that too where his only crossover hits were with Em. Outside of that he had some underground smashes but couldn't cross over.

People on here say J. Cole is boring…They must have never listened to Stalley.

That dude is like the audio anesthesia.

Sometimes a rap name can be self fulfilling prophecy. Most of his stage name pretty much means to stand still and that's the story of his career.
