I m talking about doing this as a project to celebrate the 20th anniversary of illmatic...so yeah this would be for thhose fans that hold that album in high regards...as far as washed up producers I ll put large professors classics and new stuff up against any of these new jacks..and if they humble like just blaze they'll tell u what's up too...

I did buy the album, one of the few I bought last year.

And yes, Hitboy/fraud over DJ Premier. This ain't 1996 my guy. Preem isn't Jesus anymore.

A) your foul for not knowing LP didn't produce locomotive unless you bought the itunes and it doesn't have credits listed

B) the beats I listed were dope and shame harry frauds "ima use 90s loops" over style and hitboy who for me never hits.

I like him just fine now with No Id and Salaam doing much of his production with a little Large P mixed in. I would love to see the Primo/Nas collab, but im sure I would be disappointed unless Premier takes it back to his heyday.

Actually I think Preem is kind of washed. Pains me to say it (because he used to be UNTOUCHABLE) but he's fallen off. Nowadays it seems like he'll throw beats to ANYBODY. He'll even appear at Bar Mitzvahs, Quincaneras, or even do some handy work around the house.

Large Pro gave us locomotive, which was dope. I was satisfied with that. I also think Nas and No ID are a tremendous combo.

I would rather hear Nas over some Harry Fraud, Hit-Boy, some of these new guys.

The beats Preem gave Czarface and Ill bill were top shelf. Ased on those two - I have a feeling Preem still has a lot of heat left. Granted - Konexxion was ehhh.

We both meant Kolexxxion. About half of it was crazy. The other half was ehh. I copped the cd. It wasn't just Preem though, a lot of throwaway verses from Bumpy too I thought.

Yes I bought it via iTunes and never read the liner notes. Still, when you're right you're right - I should have known he didn't do the beat. You got me there.

You're not wrong about Fraud using 90s beats and calling them his own. I'm a coke boy, shot caller, strictly 4 my jeeps, etc etc. However some of his originals are dope. Leaving the Dock, Hottest MC, etc etc.

And I actually stopped and thought about why I'm recklessly throwing shots at Preem. I think it's because there was a time when EVERY SINGLE BEAT he did was dope and the best track on whatever album it was on. I used to check for every single project he worked on.

Now he has fallen off and I'm disappointed to the point of frustration. This fukkin video of him and this fake ass DITC hurts my soul. But I should just instead of hate because he's the GOAT.

Having said ALL THAT, there's no way I want to listen to him and Nas in 2013 rather than some of these new dudes. No ID especially.
