I think I saw an interview where Salaam said he’s retired or was going to by 2020/2021

He dropped an album in 2020 inspired by just the George Floyd protests and things in general which had Nas, Black Thought, Jennifer Hudson a ton of people and was really really good

It’s sad people don’t appreciate him cause essentially he’s not DJ Premier but a lot of artists from Miguel, Black Thought, Cole, Amy Wiehouse etc rocked with him heavy

I’m looking at a full production list from Salaam Remi and it’s 100% Hit-Boy. Damn near every song Remi has done for Nas I skip the hell out of My favorite Salaam Remi beats went to I-20

I'ma go with the guy that did "Made You Look" and "Nazareth Savage".

Away from Nas, he also did classic sh*t like Fugees "Nappy Heads" (Remix), Super Cat's "Ghetto Red Hot" (Remix) and the Bush Babees' "Remember We" (Remix). Salaam has been nasty with the beats forever. True legend, if you know your history.
