I don't play my card as often as you but having worked in the industry I'll disagree.

Nas is my favorite rapper. I'm not saying he uses ghost writers in the traditional sense. Just that it's very clear this particular track was a Jay Elec track Nas decided to record.
No cards being played but I found your assumptions in your 2 second paragraph (previous post) very enlightening. No need to be sorry about your assumptions...besides it's what you accept as truth without PROOF!

I was never that familiar with Jay's work to even recognize any similarities in rhyme style at the time. Is it possible that Nas used him as a writer? Yes, It's possible. I hope it's not. Stic man and Jay were credited for helping on the album. How much help and with what exactly? I don't know. It is what it is.

@Rigby. you fakkit ass Audrey Miller stan, you know you're posting this because of the reference tracks that surfaced on Shang Drake.

Nas has none and has credited songs pre-internet era written for Will Smith. We don't even know if Drake wrote anything. Just stop.
I'm not a Drake stan :skip:

All steams from the Dream Hampton tweet

I think Jay writes what he believes. Nas' "******" album was largely written by Stic of dead prez and Jay Electronica @jusaire

And that's corny. Jay Elec made the beat. The beat is fukkin stupid. It's bad timing. All that. Nas has rapped to off timing beats before tho. But in this case. It's easy for Jay to have told Nas how to approach the flow to the beat since it's so unorthodox. Just Blaze even said that everyone needs to stfu cause he was there and Jay Elec didn't ghostwrite a verse for Nas. And how it didn't go down like that at all.

Yea. There's too much evidence. Why would Jay Elec tell someone he ghostwrote for Nas? He's always been highly respectful of OGs, I see no reason for him to lie.

Jay Elec has a Nas tribute song, which he played for Nas when they first met. I think he played him Queens Get The Money too at some point, and either asked Nas to take it or Nas asked. The off beat rhyming, tone, and subject matter sounds like Nas reading someone else's raps. I'm sorry.
Let's check dude's track record. The same nikka who been lying to his fans for YEARS about his album. The same nikka who goes on drunken rants on Twitter about nothing. The same nikka who dissed New York and the east coast when he raps like us and WE the ones who helped him with his buzz all along the way while he got damn near zero love from the south. From Nas. To Just Blaze. To DJ Enuff who forced played his record on the radio and he fukked the buzz. To Jay Z who signed the nikka and he didn't do nothin wit it. Yet his ungrateful lazy biting ass still took time out to shyt on us. shyt. Y'all talkin bout ghostwriters?. Jay Elec got accused of stealing a whole project. Rhymes n all. And since then he ain't barely drop shyt. Yet I don't see nobody accusing him of nothing.

At the very least Nas made the decision to pen a song and use another rapper's flow on the track which is cringe worthy in itself. You all can try to throw Jay E under the bus all you want but the nikka you're defending obviously thinks very highly of him.

Yea cause he was tryna help him get on. He believed in him but dude turned out to be a bum. I said before and I say it again. Jay Electronica made the beat. And since the beat is so unorthodox he prolly told Nas how he should flow to it. U nikkas have no idea how music works. And how it is to work with different producers n shyt. They tell u how to approach THEIR beats all the time.

the jay electronica being accused of stealing a whole project is 100% false though. That guy said that he recorded those songs in 06 and stopped rapping after that. but jay electronica recorded and released those songs in 2004, he was even in the source unsigned hype for those songs that the guy mentioned.

I know it was false. That's the point I'm making. That he say she say shyt is for the birds.
