No, you were right the 1st time. Alchemist built up enough cashet from his late 90s - mid-2000s run we're he's permanently etched top 10 at minimum. But I agree his 2010 - now era is highly overrated. He's basically just another producer at this point, but was on a GOAT trajectory once upon a time.

9th on the other hand.....

I will say some of his recent shyt over the years is way more interesting and listenable than when he first debuted.

Gotta say, I’m glad I listened to this on my own for the first couple times so I could form my own opinions. Reading the initial opinions of others would have ruined my experience. This is for another thread but the expectations some people have for artists, how they listen to the music, and how they react/rate/review is unhealthy and probably needs to be studied.

It’s manifesting as online verbal abuse, public humiliation and constant boundary violations from so called hip hop fans who is displaying controlling bully behavior towards a LEGEND who dedicated HIS life to this art form. They fukked it up using that really discordant off key type beat......it's hard to nod your head to that. It's not musically pleasing.

They should used more of a piano sample like they did on Part 2

When I first heard NYSOM3 I was mad dissapointed, I thought wtf is that scary ass noise in there.

Now, after multiple listens, every time I hear that scary ass noise I got the hard screwface

The first 4 tracks specifically grew on me each listen. I wasn't expecting that sound on first listen.
