Honestly after this I would like to see a Nas album with some diversity in producers. Let Hitboy, Alchemist, and Madlib produce the next Nas album. Maybe let Knxledge and Conductor Williams do a beat maybe even JPEG mafia. There are a lot of top tier producers in the lane that Nas occupies.

I got four KD/Magic albums over this but it's still good

There's nothing wrong with calling this underwhelming and it still being a good album btw

Finished my first listen...

I understand the album comes with lofty expectations being Nas and Preemo so I feel like if you dont hear a track that grabs you immediately you'll be disappointed

When I first heard NYSOM Part 3 I was like :damn:just like when I heard the first NYSOM and was like "ok THAT's why my friends and cousins from New York rep it so hard" :ahh: after that I knew this album would be like "here you go nikkas !!"

Writers is a beautiful song that made me think about the bombing crews

Sons is a beautiful song that will definitely make me look forward to fathering a lil breh, I gotta share this track with my Dad for real :to: that crossing sign line was beautiful :ahh:

It's Time reminds me of a fresstyle Nas did back in the day

Nasty Esco Nasir is another track that grabbed me like :gladbron::damn:

The beat is soo nasty I immediately scowled up on the bus on my commute cacs were scared to look at me lol

My Story Your Story is a great track with AZ it felt so comfortable and chilled out.. he shouted out the homies out here too lol All Well :ahh:

Junkie is a great concept track I like how her did this

3rd Childhood lol honestly I was expecting him to talk about nikkas 20 years over me trying to move like nikkas 20 years under me but nah it's a great concept track that makes you think and its like a record that you should just live like you want to live and you adapt when need be.

My favorite tracks are NYSOM3 and Nasty Esco Nasir.... I'm going to enjoy listening to this installment

the first 4 songs had me worried that the production was going to be shaky..but after that it found its footing.....thank goodness

The first two joints should’ve honestly been left off. Starting out the gate slow allows peoples biases to take control. Remove Welcome to the Underground as well. Should’ve started the album with Madman and let it rock. Put NY State of Mind Pt 3 at the end with a new beat. I have no idea why Preemo didn’t chop up that Billy Joel sample into something ill.

Sequencing and inclusion/exclusion of songs can really boost an album. If you listen to his Untitled/n.i.g.g.e.r. album, if he would’ve gotten rid of Tracks 1, 3, 4, and 5 and just started it with the second track, it becomes an Incredible album. You Can’t Stop Us Now leading into America, then the rest of the album is a cohesive masterpiece.
