Nah its a dope track, easy to feel especially if you play an instrument you get the automatic head nod there, it requires an eclectic taste in music IMO. I get why Nas rapped on this, he's always challenged himself in regard to the production and has eclectic taste as well. The Beat is multi-purpose, someone like Bobby Womack (rip) would have killed it.

By the way this the musician that played the bass and guitar on the track. Not cac nor a country western banjo player as suggested on here

I didn’t bash the album. I been saying I liked the album and even gave it a 7.5-8. I also said I can see where people have a problem with it and how I feel Premo could’ve done better for Nas.

I can understand people who actually aren’t fukking with the production on the album but the way I looked at it was that some of the beats that people weren’t feeling are actually perfect for the concepts (Pause Tapes, Writers, Madman & Nasty, Esco, Nasir).

Only problem with this argument is that you named the beats that people liked lol

There are some. Most of the album clearly has a live band though. Some of that replaying samples, a lot just playing whatever.
