Cats don't understand that Preem is a master at laying the backdrop for Nas to get his rhymes off/and let the lyrics breathe at the same time. Perfect marriage. That's one reason Nas sounds different on here to me. One of Preems best skills imo.
I feel like My Story/Your Story is a great example of this. It's not overbearing at all and smooth enough to let Nas and AZ be heard

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Bro.. kinda shocked at your points. This album is all I could ever ask for from a non 90s/early 2k Nas and Preme. Even the way Preme flipped a very used Steve Miller sample to make it sound fresh was a kudos moment
I think it’s cause I was listening to classic Premo tracks for the last few days so it was missing a certain knock. But nah the album fire I got it at like around an 8 out of 10 right now there’s only 2 songs I don’t like.

ok just finished. Played it all the way through. Magic was my bar for this album and it overwhelms Magic from start to finish. What I worried about was Preme and lack good bass lines. Man, he shut my ass up. Beautiful cuts like Sons and Bouquet for the ladies which I knew was gonna be for the ladies of hip hop. Just beautiful. Album is perfect. I didnt skip any songs. I aint saying every song a complete 9 or 10, but I can play it through with no skips.

I'm not gonna compare this really to The KD albums. Hit has more diverse type songs, but THIS HERE IS NAS!!!!!. Grateful I got to experience this. Preme solidified his status.
I couldn’t have said it any better than this. Well said and exactly how I feel.
