Third listen: still hate WELCOME TO THE UNDERGROUND, and NYSOM3 I actually love the beat but the chorus man, that still takes me out :russ:

Other than those two, I fukks with everything else.

Like I said in my first reaction:
0.2%er checking in (check my YouTube Music stats :ahh: ).

We awake in the Netherlands now and this the first thing I listened to in the car.

So... I prefer some of the Hit albums ... But I fukking LOVE / adore this shyt on first listen. This is really really great beautiful HipHop and pretty much exactly what I wanted and needed from them.

Such a beautiful cap to the year. No diss but I'm not listening to anything else that drops today until 2026. Running this and the other 2025 albums back.

What a year.

I've had Nas as my GOAT over Pac since the Stillmatic -Lost Tapes-Gods Son run, and I was willing to entertain people not GOATING him until like ..Life is Good. It became even sillier after the Hit run.

But what the fukk y'all gotta say now :hhh:

Pac will forever be a close second just for what he meant for me as a youngin.

All the other cats y'all want to rank over Nas though, nah check yaselves and talk to a therapist about what's really bothering you about him. I ain't having it no mo.

thank god for the real fans

bad fans immediately ignored dj premier and listened thru shotty headphones and laptop speakers

some of yall had the audacity to say it wasnt thumpin or knockin.

talkin bout light drums, straight up LIES

this shyt got the bass on EZ rock

preemo delivered every kinda of beat from every era of gangstarr

moment of truth? hard to earn? blaq poet? freddie foxx?

not one skippable track and the ngga hit multiple concept records about the culture

sonically?

sounds like lost tapes

yall are truly miserable and nas is not, i love it

Welcome To The Underground is one of the best songs on here though. :dahell: It's a bouncy head nodding homage to the grind of paying your dues as an MC coming up when you had to earn your stripes. He floats like a dead body on this beat. Your not the first to say they don't like that song but I for the life of me can't see why.

I do agree about the only track I'm down on throughout the whole album being NYSOM3.

These aren’t good Premo beats. “Sunny Storms” on De La’s album is better than anything on here, and it’s what gave me hope when everyone was doubting Premier.

There was a point in time where I didn’t think Premier was capable of making a wack beat. This album has some CLUNKERS. NYSOM3 is an absolute travesty. The intro track sounds like something I would cook up and scrap after revisiting it a week later. Just random ass piano chords with no additional layers or samples. Idk.

This is giving me Missionary vibes all over again :mjcry:

Nas is still sharp lyrically, but sounds like he’s forcing it over these beats, and he’s not completely off the hook because he picked them at the end of the day.

Some good concepts here, some decent beats. Overall, it feels like 5.5/10 for me but hopefully it grows on me. 16-year old me is absolutely devastated.

:wtf:
you nikkas got different ears bro. Maybe this brand of rap just isn't for you.
