again, you have this personal problem with kanye ...his production when focused is still rly good, and above it, even a mid kanye (nasir) is better than what prem just gave us production wise

Put the klans robe wearing, Hitler-worshipping, Nazi-promoting bullshyt aside…

Kanye hasn’t made a “focused” album in damn near ten years. Those Vultures albums were absolute TRASH. Donda was messy, uneven, unfocused, and ultimately forgettable. Kanye is a walking disaster warning and history shows he won’t stay on his meds, won’t consistently get the help he clearly needs, and will wild out at any given moment. He’s NOT the person you lock in with for a full project because his default position is chaos. Nas musically doesn’t function well in chaos.

You had some good options you put forth. Metro? Absolutely. Running it back with Hit-Boy? Excellent. But Kanye West?!?! Modern day Kanye West?!?! F U C K NO

The last decent project was Life of Pablo and the last actual dope one was "My Beautiful . . ." Dude has been trash for awhile now.

hate to say it. but kanye and nas are not a good pairing musically. less about where kanye is now; the music has never consistently lived up to the potential of what those two SHOULD be able to do together.

it doesnt really make sense... nas and kanye should be a match made in hip hop heaven. but with the exception of "we major", "you mean the world to me", "everything i love" and "poppa was a playa", their collaborations have always failed to measure up imo.

And Still Dreamin, in fact before their album all their collabs was good.

Still Dreamin and Let There Be Light were both fire songs and those two are what led to a lot of people clamoring for a full album from the two.

Kanye just lost his damn mind when the time came. Even on Nasir, as rushed as it was, you can HEAR the potential of it if they’d just locked in but unfortunately it wasn’t to be.

Modern day Kanye should be kept far FAR away from any elite artist. I wouldn’t want that fool producing an interlude for me at this point.

i didnt love the two songs on hip hop is dead. still dreamin was solid as hell. and the drums on let there be light were fire. but kanye was coming off late registration in 2006. i was honestly disappointed.

i'll be honest. i was kinda over kanye + nas after hip hop is dead. :yeshrug: i just thought that album had a lot of other production that blew kanye's tracks out of the water. but it's just my opinion.

question, yall want Nas to do a multi producer album or just stick with one for a whole album?

I reading a lot of old posts re: Nas and production right now
