Sooooo many wealthy rappers could have done what Nas did with the legendary series.
Annnndd...
They didn't.
Too busy with hella dumb activities.
Nas chose to do this for hip hop culture.
He refreshed hip hop with HIS leadership!
That Mobb Deep album was a HARD move!
I love this!
Nas is great man. Very, very great!!!!!
Christmas is on a Thursday this year. He released his last album Magic 3 on a Thursday (his birthday) so it could happen.Might as well say Christmas..Preme on tour overseas until Dec 20th
I'll answer this for myself.. I try to demo a variety of mics that I buy by and having them spit live in the middle of the city or the park. The videos you see with the guy driving around in a convertible having guys like Erick Sermon spitting lyrics, I've been doing that. Do you know 99% of these young garbage azz rappers can't spit over a simple fukking breakbeat????? ONE VERSE OVER A fukkING BREAKBEAT!! They simply can't do it. Sometimes you get the usual, "hey, I got a beat on my phone, can I use that...". And I would pay these fukkers if they can just complete a verse of their own shyt, but i just tell them, "nah it's ok". So this isn't 20-30 years ago when cities were flooding with talent trying to get on. This shyt is crazy out here today... Mfers are talentless and following other talentless rappers.. .. what do you do for your local scene ?!?!! . . . . do you look out for younger MCs and make them beats or give them verses . . .. do you feature any of them on your albums ?!? . . . do you put together local showcases for upcoming talent ?!?!! . . . do you even perform live as a solo-act ?!?!! . .. . HIP-HOP is an organic team-effort . .. not an online ego trip . . . .
