. . . . fully aware of that shyt and scared for the future because the current "music" is so heavily-quantized - not just the drums but the melodies and probably the lyrics too when shyt goes in for the final mix-down . . .. . . i learned the hard way over 25 years ago when i got my first MPC and the Quantize was auto-enabled and i didnt bother to read the book it came with . . .. . i was confused why my drums were sounding trapped in a square like techno music . .. instead of the smooth patterns i tapped out on the pads .. . . thats basically a real-life analogy for the current mindstate of the younger generations . .. . not just for music . .. . but in all aspects of incoming mental stimulation . . .. . its all Quantized . . . safe and predictable so the masses dont get inspired to do anything but keep swiping scrollin and starin into the void . .. . .

It's hard to believe time has flown by this fast. 2005 in Hip Hop feels like another Universe, lol. But yes the speculation goes back decades. For me I wanted a Premo beat on every NaS album and for the 1st 5 he was there. The next 5 he wasn't. They just work so well together. Some are going to say this should have happen back then but I'm grateful it's happening at all. "Define My Name" came out almost 1 year a half ago. They really had time to make this right. Can't wait.

I'm 39 years old now and nothing they make is going to be the soundtrack for my life now........the way something would be if it came out 20-30 years ago.
