Nas has a very consistent catalogue, even his worst album isn't awful. He normally drops solid quality projects.

4/5.......Its was one of his better albums and I always thought the production was strong for it to be a Nas album and the guest features killed it too

Also, it brought back memories for me being a sophmore in HS...I was on my "Underground fukk Mainstream" shyt back then lol.

Even though it turned out to be a gimmick, it had an effect on me to go back and really study the history....It was around the time when I first heard Illmatic.

It was an alright album, some standout tracks were really good... But some really garbage tracks too :francis:

Flow on "Still Dreaming" was tough
How you a man waitin' for the next man to get rich?
Yo' plan is to stick out yo' hand real quick?
So if he feed ya family and he serve you shyt
Then he need that head you get and he deserve your bytch

I'm a huge fan but I think this is my least favorite album of his. It's never as embarrassing as some of the low points on his other albums, but even Nastradamus had project windows... even SD had just a moment. This album was just pretty flat from beginning to end and didn't offer the high points of his other albums. I rarely listen to any song off it besides hold down the block, which is severely underrated by the way.

Wasnt as good as I hoped it be but haf the album had some strong point at the time (money over BS, Black Republicans, Hustlers, Let there be light, Where are they now, cant forget about you etc) but then there was stuff where he mailed it in (Not Going Back, Playa on Playa etc)

That said still a 3.75/5

One of Nas's best albums to me. Used to blast this on a daily basis back in 07..that and The Doctor's Advocate.

I still remember the day that Black Republicans dropped..hip-hop really stood still :wow:

Still :pacspit: that a video never happened. Hip-hop needed that..
