After "Illmatic", its his best record. His top 5 to me is like this:

1. Illmatic
2. Hip-Hop is Dead
3. Life is Good
4. God's Son
5. Stillmatic (I would put Lost Tapes over Stillmatic here, but since that's a compilation, it doesn't really count)

Not one of my favorite Nas albums but I loved how he got at Jimmy:

Put a barrel in a Capo's mouth
Till his scalp comes out
You a kid
You don't live what you rap about:banderas:

I think it's slightly above average. Still Dreaming is my favorite on there. There are some cool moments on the album, but none of them to me felt as major as they could have. Nas and Dr. Dre reuniting on Hustlers with Game on there, I was expecting a little more from that. Especially after Nas and Game murdered Why You Hate The Game.

Black Republican finally had Jay and Nas coming together, but it was a little underwhelming and Success came out a year later and I think most people would say it's a much better collab between the two.

The title track was cool, but I can't help but want to listen to Thief's Theme when I hear it. it sounds like I'm hating, but there's a lot of dope stuff on there too. I'd still give it a strong 3.5-4 mics. If you ignore some of the production and you're more into just rhymes and lyrics, I'd say you could give it a 4. Lot of deep concepts on there. I just think musically I couldn't give it a 4.

This album was average. When it dropped I was going hard cause I was a stan just like Kingdom Come.

It has some tracks but it was just missing something. To me his worst album on Def Jam.

Blunt Ashes is one of the better songs on there..the shiit might have sounded a bit slow/boring..but that was the whole concept of the track.
