Only east coast heads think that this album is the greatest ,when that album dropped in 94 nobody in the west coast gave a fukk and ppl in 2014 still dont give a fukk.

I have to admit no one here down south give a fukk about illmatic either I thank It Is a Little overrated Biggies R2D got more love down here as far as east coast music. Illmatic was sorta irrelevant back then and I personally thank It Was Written was a better Album

I can't see how anyone can listen to both albums and objectively, say that The Realness is better (taking nothing away from 'Mega).

Darker, deeper, and more real album. Beats are better, too, IMO.

the west coast media was crying foul and talking about east coast bias and conspiracy theories, because nas was getting all this love.
now,an album that NO ONE apparantly knew could not have had the dominant coast at the time reacting like that!!
