YBN Cordae. He’s dope. The Coli hates him. And this should shut down any questions if Nas still got it. He literally went back to his old flow at the end of the song.

you can't remake the old sound without using old samplers for that tonality even if you use plugins to make your new shyt sound old it's not the same.
people didn't "forget" how to make hip hop music the equipment changed. certain swing signatures came from the equipment directly... 99.9% of people are not using hardware of 2 inch reel tapes today.
straight digital production will always sound thin to analogue heads. get passed it or stay jonesing for the past.

half of producing these days is making shyt sound old
shyt is really kind of insane I laugh about it all the time. but analogue production is time consuming and expensive
there was literally 0 tracks recorded for a preme albumCordae and Gibbs were dope but when Nas uses that It Was Written era flow he's unstoppable. Wish he would use that more often.

That's my issue with Hit Boy. His beats always sound sterile and I heard it immediately. After playing the original it clearly has more soul, swing, and the drums knock harder. The guitar riff is mixed too low and he added some sounds that drowned it out. There's more space in the Easy Moe Bee version. Hit Boy added more but did less.
Still a nice job though and I'm happy they brought it back.
