I listened to the album again tonight. I remember being like :gucci: when it came out because of how dark and cold it sounded. It was just Nas and Hit-Boy letting their egos talk for them and making a statement that they weren't slowing down any time soon. Then to announce KD3 on this album and deliver with that one might be the greatest flex ever put on a record.

I still think some people took the Hit-Boy run for granted. We were given nothing but quality for three years straight. :wow:
to many goofies stuck on if it's not Illmatic IWW Stillmatic LT level then it must be mid :snoop: :snoop: :snoop:

That just speaks to the strength of Nas catalogue. It also cemented Hit-Boy as a top tier producer and allowed him to really flex his versatility. I do hope that we can one day get a Lost Tapes 3 with all of the cutting room floor loosies they made during this run.

yep I just never understood the lame mindset "The Truth is mid because it's not Take it in blood level" like:what:. nikkaz don't even allow themselves to enjoy shyt:mjlol:. I still think Magic is a top 5 Nas album or damn near close to it

The Nas-Hit run is one of my favorite times as a fan of music. KD coming out when Covid was at its peak really held me down and little did I know that was only the beginning. I like all 6 albums with a playlist on Tidal of all of their work together during that time and it flows beautifully. So some might underrate it, but not me.
