I personally don't believe anything Nas said... Sounds too convenient. Hov fukking this nikka baby moms at the time and decides to come up to him and start shytting on his dead friend, his homie he doing 100 songs with, his artist, and fukking long dead tupac?? But bigs up Nas...

And Nas already knows what it's about but says "I don't know if it's about a bytch" Yea... You know.

but the missed studio session happened years prior to whatever happened with the woman so who’s to really say?

I was just listening to the Miss Jones interview that was posted in the Nas thread.

The way Nas stayed sonning Jay around this time was hilarious. “I didn’t mean to break his spirit, but Ether burns, but I hope he recovers cause his my brother”
It seems Nas cooled down after his ma dukes(RIP) passed..breh was on radio sauced up ..was that funk flex? :pachaha:

Nah, you can tell there are a few artists that he respects.

Nas
Em
Andre
Face
Jay E

But that's probably it though :lolbron:

He’s said a few times he respects 50. Probably not so much lyrically but as someone who legitimately typhooned the industry when he dropped it was impressive.

He also respects Dr Dre.

Yeah I meant lyrically. As far as artists and people he respects it's a long ass list and 50 is definitely up there

I'm inclined to believe Nas is telling the truth here because I've seen Irv Gotti in past interviews express similar sentiments about Jay's view on DMX. Supposedly Jay and Dame passed on X because they thought his music was too depressing and that aggressive appeal to the common-folk-in-the-hood street rap won't sell. And even if he's relatable to the dudes in the street as Irv argued, they don't want to "live" that...according to Jay they want power fantasy.

This shyt was on my msn newsfeed.
I was confused when I read the headline
Like Esco did a new interview

Confused why this picked up steam being that it is old

Lowkey...there's quite a segment that won't mind them beefing again. Let these grown men rest

Some nikkas feelings were hurt when these nikkas peaced it up though.

You can tell they still hurt.
