Still wonder why Pac felt so threatened by Jay considering he was a brand new artist barely making any noise and never said nothin bout Pac.

Pac could prolly see Jay talent from afar and tried to dead that shyt before he became a problem. Coz Big was down with lots of cats in Jay position at at that time yet it's only Jay name that Pac called out.
NAH pac didn’t see him as a threat jay was basically clout chasing trying to insert himself in the beef throwing subs at him so pac put him in his place real quick

How exactly did he insert himself in the beef? AZ was in the Dead Pres video too and Pac didn't call him out even though that was Nas' man.

Jay literally said nothin about Pac but Pac called him out numerous times for some reason.

Jay was associated with Big. Thats all Pac needed.

AZ wasn’t really associated closely with Big, he was with Nas. But the Nas/Pac shyt was really just RAP shyt, which is why they were able to peace it up. Biggie and Pac’s beef had already gotten personal, Pac was going after anyone Biggie was friends with. His wife, his homies, and his associates

A lot of nikkas was associated with Big is my point. So what was so special about Jay in particular according to Pac. Jay wasn't even a bad boy artist :mjtf:

MOST of the nikkas DIRECTLY associated with Big got dissed by Pac. Faith, Junior Mafia, Lil Kim, etc. Jay had Big on his album and Big made a reference to Pac ON Jay’s album. Yes it was more of a playful reference, but a reference nonetheless.

I don’t know why we’re acting like its so out of the realm of plausibility for Pac to diss Jay-Z. Yes Jay was comparably a smaller artist to Nas, Biggie at the time. But he was talented, wasn’t a complete unknown, and was aligned with Biggie. Thats ALL Pac would have needed at the time

Alot or real-time fans don't know about this actually.

this

i damn sure didn't and i've been 'seriously' (past a casual fan...collecting magazines, lurking message boards) following hip-hop for 20 years now.

this thread reeks of Jay stans staying on code trying to play past it, pretending like its ancient history everyone already knew.

:patrice:a teenage former Pac stan like myself would've been outraged had i ever caught wind of this :pacspit:

still am :what::flabbynsick:

Pac Nas real beef started because Pac gave him love at the house of blues and told him what is going on with Biggie had nothing to do with him and he had love for him..Nas then went back to NY and started dissing on mixtapes ..so Pac got in his ass too.
